Quoting: Newshunter Gonna blow some shit up. I feel sorry for the kids. I do too, but they are future terrorists. I agree, they are future terrorist, but now, they are just scared, innocent children. Sorry, but it's the price of war. It's not meant to be pretty.....if you want to win. |

Their parents, as well as the rest of the civilians, should stand up and revolt against Hamas. As long as they support them, they will have power and they will continue to attack Israel, which will continue with the retaliatory strikes on Gaza. Last Edited by fooz on 07/15/2014 01:11 PM |

Sorry, but it's the price of war. It's not meant to be pretty.....if you want to win. I understand that, but it doesn't mean you have to seperate yourself from your compassionate feelings you have as a human, which you should have. My 2 yr old son was sitting on my wifes lap becasue we were caught outside in a thunderstorm and my wife sang him songs to keep him calm because he was so scared of the thunder. I can only imagine this palying out all over Isreal and Gaza as the bombs drop. I just feel terrible for the children on both sides. |

Yes, I wish their parents and relatives would stop shooting missiles and rockets and Israel so we could avoid the war. But that's not going to happen. You have to separate yourself from those feelings if you go to war. I dont care about their kids feelings, I care about my kids feelings. If bombing a few of the enemy's kids makes my kids life safer then I am for it. I will try to avoid that, but if it happens it happens. It's war. |

Which would irradiate Israel so not an option - ever. That's actually not true. They would likely use small tactical nukes and hydrogen bombs, the fallout from either is negligible. And they would target them far enough so that the city centers in Israel would remain mostly intact. Trust me, this one has been well thought out, they even have large public wiki's from nuclear physicists who agree this is entirely possible. Russia has the same kind of plans as well, if they ever got overwhelmed in their homeland. The US does as well, though I am sure some land would not be livable, there are ways to use these without massive cleanup efforts needed. Even the word "tactical nuke" makes my brain hurt. Has American English been so f00ked by 200 years of political bullshite that people no longer understand the human impact? Right, Isreal does not want to spread radiation on that land because they believe it is theirs and would like to use it one day. |

It's true that civilian casualties are sometimes unavoidable. We hope that the people making these decisions do so with more gravity and understanding than what is displayed here. It's understandable to feel sympathy for a blockaded impoverished people who are just as much victims of Hamas as Israel AND also feel sympathy for Israel who has consistently taken measures to warn an area before an attack occurs. There is no need to protect your "morals" when discussing these issues by arguing whether the killing of children/innocents is necessary because the only response should be sadness. ~Atlas |
