This guy has a theory. If you fuck up, they can cut off your supply to money.

Re: what is the need of a cashless society?
Control over all the money. With cash, you can hoard and stash it, still use it without them involved. Without it, you need them for every transaction. So they can charge fees for that, like ATM fees. Also track your account. No more off the books income. It would also help them capture more tax revenue. It would make black markets hard to have. But people will figure out something else. Some cities have already been printing their own "money" -- it's more like vouchers, but it can be exchanged as legal tender. Then there's trade. There would be an uptick in bartering if we went entirely cashless. A prime commodity would be cannabis. Or alcohol. Simple goods like this would become like money.

The reason is control. When you funds are transferred to the cashless system, they will have you by the balls, if they dont already.

Nothing to be done, but to accept it.

They never play by their own rule.

What they want is a global communist gov'r, and anyone who thinks it's a bad idea is a terrorist.

Re: what is the need of a cashless society?
Its all about centralized control.

This way they can cut your access to commerce off with a click of a computer.

The banksters dont want/ you to develop a commerce outside of their control and their brothers in govt need to control every exchange to tax you for it.

The reason they want to account for everything is that they believe that everything is theirs so they want to make sure you dont misppropropriate it without them assessing fees and taxes.

Wrong. It has value because we give it value.
What good is a chunk of gold unless someone else agrees to its value?
If I have a sack of food and you have a chunk of gold you want to trade for it, your gold only has value if I agree to it. If I say, I don't want your shiny rock, your gold is worthless.

I don't think cash will be completely
wiped out

there will always be a need for someone
to get paid in cash

hookers
drug dealers
teenager mowing the lawn
babysitting
car wash by hand

etc ....

there will always be a need for cash

The need, as far as I can tell, is to eliminate organized crime.

Cash is how any high level crime can remain hidden.

When everything is known about the currency, total control of epic proportions is possible.

This would kill MOST private transactions.

Wanna buy a used car, go to a flea market, or (horrors!) buy a weapon.

Nawwwwww, while the notion might make inroads overall its a failed concept.

This is correct to some degree.

If you were required to provide the physical currency you have as is (with out a bank supporting it) it is worth nothing but the paper it is printed on.

Gold has value because it is GOLD.

Water has value because it is WATER

Cash has value equal to that of PAPER

Bank Cards have a value of PLASTIC

We all are trusting a bank to hold real currency for us. But there is nothing in the banks anymore except for hard drives, plastic and paper money.

Gold is a real currency. Paper is a document in place of a real currency...which isn't even there anymore.......
