I'm pretty sure he doesn't have a PhD in Economics. On the other hand, he isn't saying anything that a lot of us aren't already aware of.

I know that we are close to the return of Jesus Christ. Does the pope know that as well? Otherwise, why does he feel the need to spout off on this issue? So is his warning going to carry more weight for Catholics than all the other warnings out there?
