Anacostia, Washington DC back in the 80's for a pick up. Kids approach the cars and the guns would sit and wait on the sidewalk for action. Various places in Mexico driving in areas I had no business driving. Watching nudist on the cliffs of Redondo beach...lol. And running from mp's on a base...ha!

Bosnia two weeks before the war. We went on a pilgrimage to Medugorje. The men of the village and surrounding villages went into the mountains at night armed and ready to protect their towns. We knew nothing about it until the day we were leaving. We asked our hostess where her husband was because we wanted to thank him as well for their hospitality. She told us he was sleeping and that he had come in about daybreak and explained what the men in the village had been doing every night.

Wichita Falls, Tx. A HUGE tornado with it's black greenish gory/ glory show roaring above a group of us Air Force medical types during CMRT (chemical medical readiness training.). It was very creepy, especially running like hell to the shelters. A very close call for everyone. The sky looked like a "Mother Nature Vomit."

What made this event even more creepy was an eerie sense that something bad was sensed by myself and sweetheart before I went to this training. He didn't want me to go there, but am thankfully still alive surviving a very close call. I'd have to admit this was more frightening than earthquakes experiences in California!

Baltimore

On the fireline of around 200 forest fires. I should have died three different times out there but made it through somehow. Cant say that for some of my brothers though. I also did a long stint in a large metropolitan area jail. The food was probably more dangerous than the other inmates.
