It opens up the cells and makes the nutrients more available, while not cooking the broccoli and destroying it's health benefits. What do they have to say about the toxic shit they spray on it to keep bugs and fungus from destroying it? no toxic shit needs to enter the picture here Growing your own sprouts is easy. it just takes seeds (buy organic if you can) a glass jar, cheese cloth or gauze, water (Filtered) sunlight and a couple of days time. You soak the seeds in the water, then drain it with the cheese cloth/ gauze covering the jar opening. Rinse the seeds daily and watch them sprout for the next coupe of days. Then let them green up in the sun for a day or two. you'll be amazed at how much flavor can come from a little sprout! "It was easy to love God in all that was beautiful. BRIEF User ID: 58550136 United States 06/18/2014 04:27 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | I know what I'm having for lunch tomorrow now... One thing the Chinese do very well is not overcooking veggies. In a wok, pour in a couple tablespoons of peanut oil. Have your thinly sliced chicken breast ready and when the oil in just starting to smoke, reduce heat to half and toss in chicken. When chicken is almost done, throw in two big handfuls of fresh broccoli and your seasonings, like hot sauce, red pepper flakes, MSG, whatever you like, and stir and serve...don't let the broccoli cook for very long, you only want the toughness out of it. I hate rice, but some people ruin this dish by serving it over rice. enjoy! I never forgive and I never forget I am a licensed firearm holder. I will, under protection of law, use lethal force if attacked. |
