We would have doors open to sheds or garages and be cleaning, as the light BEAMS through the doors the effect would be exactly the same. Sure, you still see dust floating around in sunlight, but no where near the same effect as I remember. |

Due to the shape of the valley and all of the farming and other stuff humans do, dust is everywhere all the time. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 55674092 When the sun comes streaming through the three windows that do not have an awning, I get to see rays and the dust motes floating around. just saw it yesterday late afternoon, and in a couple/three more hours I will see it again. I live in the same area. Large farming community and lots of dirt. I see dust all the time through the suns rays. I have to dust my living room twice a week because of all the dirt and dust. Okay, so far I believe we have people only on the west coast of the US reporting they still see the effect. Thanks for your response. NE Texas, seeing it in both windows of my west facing bedroom RIGHT NOW. I tried photographing but can't get a good shot that it shows up in. This probably explains why older people can't see it.. Yesterday evening I saw it in my shed and again in my garage. This thread is BS. My guess is it has something to do with getting older and losing the quality of your eyesight or the fact that something is causing the dust to settle out But if something is causing dust to settle out, that would be the kind of change in conditions we're talking about. Do you live on the west coast of the US? |

You are shown a scene, a picture, or given a description, and then asked to recount it in as much detail as possible. The point of the exercise is to show how unreliable our own memories are on a moment to moment basis, let alone over long time scales. Invariably, details come out completely wrong, and very often, things are remembered that were not even there. Our brain not only misrepresents our memories as we go through life, it makes up information to fill the gaps. . Everyone remembers golden dust at windows that was never there, thus causing it to be modeled beautifully and completely unnecessarily into a classic video game? A vast collective hallucinosis, as it were? I'm saying his rose colored memory of seeing sparkling golden dust in the air every day of the week is exaggerated. His memory is altering the record of how *often* he saw it compared to how *often* he sees it now. How *often* you see it depends entirely on how *often* you have a visible sunbeam cutting into a slightly darkened, dusty room. If your room is dusty, and light is peaking through in a beam type scenario, you see pretty golden dust in the beam. Okay, so what about rainbows? I live in Tampa where there is sun and storms simultaneously all the time...why no rainbows anymore? I tell you why, whatever that stuff is...it is not h2O And before you ask me for links I have a whole thread dedicated to earth changes AND I just took some current hair samples of my own, along with a locket of my hair in a sealed photo box from 12 years ago to get them analyzed... I feel sorry for the ones who have cancer written in their DNA :/ Everything speeding up now... Sorry Heather, we’ve had tons of gorgeous rainbows out my way in the Tampa ‘burbs this season. Sorry, my post was only going towards the indoor, through the window types of observations. I don't doubt the effect is not being observed as it previously was. I was just saying that perhaps the effect is being lessened in some indoor areas with newer, different glass than what we had in the past. I can't honestly contribute to whether what I am observing or not observing is happening or not due to my not having normal windows. I Want To Believe |
