Kynande's mother, Vartasha "Tasha" McCullough (sometimes referred to as Vartasha White or Vartasha McCullough White) said she last saw her daughter at a K-Mart store at 5:00 p.m. on September 29, 2002. They resided in Conway, South Carolina and were visiting Kynande's uncle in Whiteville, North Carolina that day. At first McCullough claimed Kynande disappeared in an aisle of the store, but she later changed her story and said she walked into the store and thought Kynande was behind her, but turned around and the child was gone.
Nobody remembered seeing the child with her mother in K-Mart that day, and video surveillance images of the establishment do not show any images of Kynande. Investigators claim that there is no evidence that she was even in the state at the time. No one other than Kynande's parents saw her in the two days before she was reported missing.

Cleaning the blood splattered house with bleach and tossing out all the kid's stuff before they vanish ruined that one.

Children are, unfortunately, many MANY times more likely to be injured or killed by the people who should be protecting them than they are by random strangers.

Neglect is just as bad.

So many things that are called "accidents" are really nothing more than not watching your kids.

Police: Cobb toddler’s death ‘not simple negligence’

The Atlanta Journal-Constitution

The autopsy conducted on the 22-month-old left inside an SUV for seven hours determined the manner of death was a homicide, Cobb County police said late Wednesday afternoon. The boy’s death was not simple negligence, the police chief said.

“The Cobb County Medical Examiner’s Office is waiting for toxicology test results before making an official ruling as to the cause and manner of death,” police said in a written statement. “However, the Cobb County Medical Examiner believes the cause of death is consistent with hyperthermia and the investigative information suggests the manner of death is homicide.”

He's being held without bond. Reporting on CBS this morning, I think this "Happy Family" scenario may not be as many previously believed. Also have been hearing/reading he gave conflicting stories once arrested.

The baby will be buried Saturday

Harris took his son (Cooper) to breakfast across the street from where he worked according to sources. This was at a fast food restaurant next to the Home Depot headquarters where he worked. The daycare was further back so he would know he didn't drop him off there at that point.

All interviewed witnesses said he appeared to be "acting" when trying to revive Cooper at the scene.



Hard to fathom, but some have no concience.

This in addition to the fact that he researched on his work computer days before how long it takes an animal to die in an overheated car. Slim chance all this a coincidence, and hard to understand how he could do this if true.

I was reading various reports last night and found some additional info that other sources are not releasing. Apparently, after work on the way home, Harris was stopping at other 'places' and had his son in his arms; telling witnesses that his son had just been choking and was resting. The witnesses described the child as being very wet/sweaty and red or flushed!!!
Harris was attempting to HIDE the fact that little COOPER had been in his vehicle all day.
Weird behaviour!

Idk, he could have just been, dumb, doesn't prove that it was intentional. And that the kid was already passed out (and thus not easy to notice) the second time he returned to the car. Should still get his tubes forcibly tied.

Might have been a peaceful death at least, I can remember getting into a hot car a few times as a kid and felt like passing out, no pain. Though then again I could fall asleep just about anywhere.

Babies are in rear facing seats.

Baby could have been sleeping in the morning on his way to work.

Baby was likely unconscious during lunch.

Father is likely not very observant, albeit, the gubmint doesn't wish people to be observant nor experience any thoughts of their own, thus, it's fully understandable how he may not have seen the baby in the back seat.

The prison systems get paid for occupancy and I wouldn't be the least bit surprised if the "rent" charged per occupant is more based on their crimes. Therefore, the prison systems get more for this guy if he murdered this child rather than reckless endangerment/involuntarily manslaughter.

I'm not suggesting one thing or another, but I an encouraging using your own mind rather than reading what the MSM puts out as gospel.

Oh. Well that's interesting if true. I'd like to know their definition of "researched" though. For example, if I didn't have a pop up blocker, script stopper, etc. I could be accused of "researching" many different thing that I never once clicked on. Some of those things could surely cause an unhappy life for me.

That poor, beautiful child was probably already murdered. Car temp was 88 degrees according to one story I read on this matter on a new site yesterday. That is not fatal heat.

Just want to add that the father's behavior after work was to protect himself from getting into trouble; instead of the welfare of his precious son.

It is such a very sad, sad story. I realize that if all of the 'facts' so far are true, then this father had to have a motive! What was it?? That needs to be determined.

Stories like this affect all of us. Such a beautiful, precious little boy. Difficult to look at his smiling face. I hope the truth comes out soon, so everyone gets closure and can move on with the healing :((

Yes, these young innocent children do not get to make a choice.

Maybe he didn't want to be a dad.

Maybe he wanted the attention.

Maybe there's a small life insurance policy on the kid or even a larger one and dude has debt.

Maybe he's just crazy.

I can't believe so many people are still buying this dude's story.

Yup. This story was on CNN all day today. There is going to be some new info very soon. Its really very mysterious. Won't be a mystery when they are finished the investigation though.

The more press it gets, the more likely it's not a real story.
