Jesus is called the Son of God, never God. God is not mortal, so I don't see how God can die to redeem us.

So it sounds to me that you just defined the GODHEAD which some people call the trinity? So do you believe that Jesus Christ is the Messiah and His death and resurrection is able to redeem humanity? No. Jesus is the Messiah, the anointed one of God, that doesn't make him God, or part of a God-trio. Just as Gabriel is an angelic messenger of God, or Elijah was a prophet of God. The trinitarian principle of the "godhead" (theioteôs) is that YHWH is not one, but part of a trio, and Jesus is another part of the trio, then the Holy Spirit suddenly becomes a person individual from God - then these three Gods joins together and form a SuperGod. So, according to trinitarian doctrine: when God says he's one, it's a lie; when God says he does not change, it's a lie; when God says he's spirit, it's a lie; when God says he's not man, it's a lie; when God says he's not son of man, it's a lie; when God says he doesn't lie, it's a lie; when Jesus says he only judges as he hear, it's a lie; when Jesus says the one who sent him is greater, it's a lie; when Jesus says he only does the will of his Father, it's a lie. And so on.
