Craig said police have had ongoing conversations with Charlie's parents. The child's father submitted to an FBI-administered polygraph test, but Craig said his stepmother declined to take one.

On Tuesday, Bothuell appeared on the "Nancy Grace" cable TV show. He described an exhaustive search that began when he received a call from his wife at about 9:45 p.m. June 14, saying Charlie had left from their home in at about 9 p.m. Bothuell was at his office in Southfield — he's a registered nurse with his own company — trying to complete some work so he would have that Sunday, Father's Day, to spend with Charlie, another son, 14, and daughter, 10 months old.

Bothuell said he came home from work and called police. He said the response from a dispatcher was dismissive and disrespectful, and he said it took three calls to actually make the report.

Police showed up sometime around midnight, Bothuell said.

Bothuell said he was asked to take a Detroit police lie detector test but refused, noting that he had been questioned for eight hours by officers and he said they were not truthful when they told him what to expect.

Craig said he's "not aware of any mistreatment by our investigators or any other investigators."

Yep with the blood evidence they found in the condo, they also found a PVC pipe that is being suspected as what was used for the alleged abuse. It also seems possible that the boy was away from this house for several days, and then recently returned to this basement area that he was found in. There was cereal and milk with the boy when they found him.

The boy is currently with his biological mother. The step-mother (yes, she is a white woman, by the way-no race involved in this) has kinda left the area, although is a suspect in the child abuse too.

Something stinks about this story, don't know actually what, but, something about his reaction rubs me the wrong way.

And Nancy Grace is a straight up bitch!

They said the police and FBI had both searched the basement and didn't find him.

It took him 3 calls to make the report. They didn't even take him seriously.

Am glad they found the boy alive!

That aside, Nancy ought to be ashamed of herself for telling the father live on air, without confirmation first!

Unless, of course, she already had confirmation, and for ratings sake, pretended she didn't.

Now back to the father.

I have following missing children/adult cases for many years. And the reaction of the father was not typical for a caring loving father. How many of us would have sat there stuttering, clutching our heart? Or would we have burst into tears, leaped up and gone immediately to our child, forgetting the cameras were even there?

IMO, either he knew exactly what happened to his son, or this whole thing was scripted, or both.

Many perps watch where the police/FBI do their searches, and just move the victim to that place afterward. Because perps do this so much, police/FBI tend to double-back and re-search an area again. Because of funding tho, this sometimes doesn't get done.

The father also didn't ask if he was found alive, dead, or whatever condition.
