According to industry experts, the odds of them being unable to do that are hundreds of times smaller than the odds that her hard drive "crashed" just 10 days after email requests were made. Returning the hard drive home Even with solid state drives, which is the most challenging storage format to work with, success comes more often than not. “In 98 percent of cases the drive is sent back looking exactly like it did before failure,” says Chozick. “All the folders, files will be in the same place.” Even if such in-depth recovery isn’t possible, lab techs can usually find and retrieve individual files by searching through a drive’s data after it has been imaged. The files returned to the customer may be missing their original file name, and may not be organized, but at least they can be returned otherwise intact. It is assumed by Wikileaks that the hard drives were hacked by top Chinese hackers in China. the hackers insist that the emails directly link Obama as the orders came directly from him via encrypted e-mails. It was the de-cryption that took the longest time in the process. When Wikileaks gets the de-crypted emails sorted they will expose them in a press release in a foreign country for their own safety. |
