Anonymous Coward (OP) User ID: 59723401 United States 06/28/2014 10:30 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | You can try Linux without making any changes to your existing computer and setup. #1) Download any Linux flavor #2) Download Pendrive usb creator and install [link to www.pendrivelinux.com] #3) Run pendrive and put Linux on usb drive #4) Reboot selecting the usb drive as your boot device (this is different for each computer) #5) Test drive Linux. You can download anything you want..play around all you want...you won't hurt your existing computer setup. Just don't mess around with your hard drive with Windows installed on it. |

I like it better than any distro I've ever used, and I was using Red Hat back in the 90's. Before Mint I was using Puppy Linux installed on my hard drive... but this is just... incredible. Everything works, printer, graphics acceleration, sound... you name it. I am so impressed with this release, and I haven't liked the last few versions of Ubuntu (Mint is based on Ubuntu) |
