When the New Madrid and the Juan Defuca plates slip there will be millions and millions of homeless people that are educated and an asset to a country that can give them a place to go to and just resume a high quality life style.

They know the USA is going to collapse completely.

Become a Chinsee citizen and start over in a new city.

Pretty smart

Makes a lot more sense than the bad investment excuse the western media puts out.

China plans ahead. WAY ahead. These are built for a reason. Their big show of military might tonight was not without purpose either.

The US will default and we gotta continue our work in China, reverse economics.

Default is inevitable it seems, hence the build up to war?

Something strange I've noticed this year is that even though the fiscal year nears it's end in less than a month, there has been NO big fuss about it this year like in the past couple of years. We had the "fiscal cliff" the shutdown drama, the Obamacare holdup, and all that other crap at fiscal year's end. This year, crickets. Unless you count September meag doom apocalypse shemitah asteroid collapse WWIII, lol.

What if the ghost cities are for the 'elite' as a safe haven when SHTF? Many of the ghost cities mimic upscale cities of varying nations. I don't think they'd invest that much to house us commoners in style, especially considering they have slave labor in house, a billion strong.
 Quoting: Ag47

But can you imagine the "elite" living in these places? They're mostly apartments. The "elite" need big houses and estates. Maybe the Chinese were banking on "if you build it, people will come". They're still practicing the zionist financial model, and we know how that's working everywhere else.

Good point, but in a SHTF scenario, an apartment in a familiar looking city would be better than a mcmansion near a city that's went to hell. But I don't know.

Brand new cities sitting empty is cause for concern, especially seeing as things have been unfolding.

They say these massive Chinese ghost towns are bad investments, but that is ridiculous. Are they preparing for something, or are they converting US dollars to something tangible prior to collapsing it?

Or is something else at play? Why would they build so many of these mega cities, only to sit empty? Who builds an entire city, sky scrapers and all, all at one time, with no natural growth?

They have been building these in China and Africa.

Malinvestment in China proceeds at a staggering pace. Technically, this growth adds to GDP, but eventually it will be written off.

Ghost cities, ghost malls, and empty train stations in China have been in the news for years. The world's largest mall is unoccupied and entire cities sit vacant.

We can now add another ghost city to the list, a big one. Bloomberg reports China Builds Its Own Manhattan -- Except It's a Ghost Town.

"China’s project to build a replica Manhattan is taking shape against a backdrop of vacant office towers and unfinished hotels, underscoring the risks to a slowing economy from the nation’s unprecedented investment boom.

The skyscraper-filled skyline of the Conch Bay district in the northern port city of Tianjin has none of a metropolis’s bustle up close, with dirt-covered glass doors and construction on some edifices halted. The area’s failure to attract tenants since the first building was finished in 2010 bodes ill across the Hai River for the separate Yujiapu development, which is modeled on New York’s Manhattan and remains in progress."

This is creepy, alright. What are they up to?

The Chinese are building replicas for the aliens that will trap minority populations from different areas of the world in look-alike homelands.

This glut of real estate development is not isolated to China. I see this in all of the southeast Asian countries, in all of the major cities, and there are huge industrial parks that appear abandoned/unoccupied outside of the cities.

I also notice this same overbuilding in the US. For example, many of the high rise buildings in downtown Dallas, Texas are largely unoccupied, and the same goes for the high rise buildings in the satellite cities.

Re: ANOTHER Ghost Town in China, This Time a Replica of Manhattan
When Ibn Butta went to China he described as it as a very cosmopolitan place with people of all nationalities, including Moors and blonde Cumans.

Oddly all these people seemed had disappeared (or intermarried) into the Chinese mass.

The prior posting saying this is being done to lure in the skilled workers of the west has a good point.

Mind you it won't take much. A lot of people my age group are already going to China because there's more work in China than Canada for educated people (both Asian and White descent).

Knowing the Chinese reverence for their ancestors it seems plausible to me that all these ghost town are inhabited by millions of ghosts. Why else would anyone build a ghost town?

There is a big difference in abandoned/largely unoccupied buildings in an existing and populated city and multiple cities built all at once and remaining empty.
