I could record 16 track stuff from an 4 track by overdubbing but , nowadays , I don't know . seems like weve been put into a corner now. now ya gotta spend a ton of money to do any frikken thing.... Ive got a bunch of great original stuff , I mean original from great artists but I gotta spend like a grand to rerecord it.... Oh well that's why they call us starving artists I guess..................................... Ohh for a reel to reel ................ |

Now, there's a name you don't hear too often nowadays. Neither is Nagra. I also have some lower priced portable cassette player/recorders... 1970s Sony and Hitachi. Studio quality stuff even though less pricy than the Nakamichi. |

Friend of my dad had an awesome studio set up in his home with reel to reel recording quality stuff. Anyway that stuff is long gone and he's dead. He had a mish mash of German and American stuff. Always out of my range. I got most of my good stereo equipment when I was in the Navy in the late 70's. In Japan and the Phillipines. They just didn't sell it in the US then. |
