Indeed, they do not and could not, because that info is not offered to the g.p. I tell my wife, the news that just comes to you via no effort on your own is not really news. The stuff you have to LOOK for is the real news. When you LOOK for stuff, you will be rewarded with information and knowledge. When it comes to you, you are processing data. Most people don't want to LOOK for the real news. Why should they? What could they (individually) possibly do? Etc. That's the truth and it's a damn shame. Our apathy is our greatest enemy. Herd mentality. The belief that "someone else" will step forward, just not you in particular, and that you can do nothing alone. A fossil of our animal instincts and the truest proof of our primitive origins. That, and they are afraid to be the one to take responsibility. We all need to stop being animals now. The first step is realizing we still behave like animals. |
