I have a food budget for my myself, wife 2 year old an newborn baby, of $1000/month. Add to that diapers, and those two items alone add up to more than what my total income was when my two year old daughter was born. |

Add to that diapers, and those two items alone add up to more than what my total income was when my two year old daughter was born. I feel for you.... The last few months have been interesting as we prepared for our new baby born 10 days ago. I am most fortunate that the three credit card companies I work with have faith in my ability to repay and as a result jacked up my credit limits. I should have the debt paid and be back to a balanced budget by January, but .... The increase in food prices is crazy. Every week we stock up on a bunch of groceries, primarily at Walmart, and every week I notice my average food bill increasing for the same items. Gas is another bugger for me right now. I work as a delivery driver and have to pay for my own gas. My car gas bill is about $650/month. $1000 for food, $150 for baby needs, $650 for gas .... ouch, it adds up. Anyhow, anybody with family know all about this and has their own issues to deal with. |

I eat quite well too. Gun control is like trying to reduce drunk driving by making it tougher for sober people to own cars. I'd like to go quietly in my sleep, like grandpa did. Not screaming in terror like the people in the back seat of the car he was driving. |

Do you fuckwads not understand how complex it would to mine the data on this site? What string metric would you use? How would you preprocess/clean the data automatically (regex can only take you so far)? How would you cluster everything? How do you then perform the necessary screening of the data? And finally, do you tards really think that unsupervised learning could successfully be employed to identify "targets" on this site? We have a really great market that sells fruits and veggies for cheap nearby, and we make pretty much everything ourselves at home. In a bad month we drop as much as $250, but that's not very common. |

It's not very often that I get the opportunity to talk with someone knowledgeable is one of my research areas, more so on GLP. Were you full of shit and hoping to bullshit your way through a discussion dealing with the practical applications of statistical learning? That's too bad man. Just think of the discussion that we missed out on, especially given what has been published in the ASA's Computational Statistics journal this past year, Oh well. |

Onions, garlic, potatoes, etc. go in brown paper bags and are kept in a dark place. Other produce is stored at the correct humidity. |

Quoting: Marax WTF tell me how please I cook at home hardly ever eat out and dont feel like im eating very well most of the time. and easily spend 400 a month in groceries I get a lot of food in bulk. We have a restaurant supplier around here called gordons food service and buy a lot from there. The main things I get there are chicken breasts, pork loins, and turkey lunch meat. The chicken depending on if they have a sale or not is $10-13 for 5 pounds, the pork loins (before the price got jacked up because of some virus) are $2 a pound give or take, but are in 5-8 pound loins. And the lunch meat is maybe $3 a pound but you have to ask them to slice it. I plan my meals around that. Try to find smaller independent markets that are selling fruit and produce competitively. Delis are good for bulk meat packs - buy a $50 sampler to have various meats available for a couple of months. Obviously, buy lots of cheap staples - rice, beans, etc to go with everything else. Instead of preparing just enough for one meal, make enough for 4-5 to eat the next day or two. It's totally possible to survive on that amount (and eat well), but you have to adjust your way of thinking at first. |
