Quoting: KickAzCarlin With ANY tropical storm 50 miles either way is on the table. Not one person in the entire world can claim they know exactly where this storm will end up but one thing for sure is it will NOT make LANDFALL near Myrtle beach. ugh it doesn't need to make landfall to be a high impact event for the coast. Myrtle Beach WILL be evacuated Since when is mandatory evacuation called up for a Tropical Storm...Right, never. The storm is NOT expected to become a hurricane until Thursday morning. If by some freak of nature that every meteorologist (Including the NHC) is wrong and this storm goes from a weak tropical storm to a Cat 2 hurricane in 24 hours than you can come back here and say I told you so. Otherwise.... Did I say a cat 2? This will be a strong tropical storm(~65mph) or weak hurricane(74mph) tonight at 11PM The LLC is centering under the mid level circulation and becoming stacked. This will allow for rapid intensification with little to no shear. This WILL be a hurricane by the time it reaches South Carolina 850 MB and 500 MB are NOT stacked (although they are getting close) 500 MB vorticity [link to tropic.ssec.wisc.edu] 850 MB Vort [link to tropic.ssec.wisc.edu] 700 MB [link to tropic.ssec.wisc.edu] Inside every cynical person, there is a disappointed idealist. Anonymous Coward User ID: 59798858 United States 07/01/2014 08:37 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | I'm not a weather nerd, but I can just say that I live in Myrtle Beach and the meteorolgists here are saying this will be a Cat 1 storm that will pass off the coast. They are saying that the winds and storms will be north and east of the eye (over the ocean) but we should expect rip currents and rough surf. That being said, the beaches may be closed, but not evacuated. |
Anonymous Coward User ID: 41728798 United States 07/01/2014 11:33 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | I remember Hurricane Andrew and Hugo. Some people are desperate for -- any -- news about the weather. LOL OMG! It's a tropical storm! The exception being, it went from a non-organized cluster of low pressure, to a topical depression, to Tropical Storm Arthur all within 24 hours... and is on track to become Hurricane Arthur in the next 48 hours (don't mind the official notices... it will be 48 hours... not 96 like you may see).... This will have serious impacts to the NC/VA/DELMARVA region... ask me how i know... Umm...because this storm and every other major weather event to hit the United States in the last 10 years has been engineered? That's what I would bet on. And the real kicker is the name they decided to give this fucker: Arthur. Fucking ARTHUR!? They are really beating us over the head with the British royalty stick. It reeks of desperation at this point. So- King Arthur, eternal king and protector of the land of Briton, rides on his steed of wind incarnate, decimating the eastern territories of America. In the wake of the destruction, the people are fearful and desperate; they cry for salvation. In their hour of need, their call is answered: by His earthly avatar William. It is now clear. Our King has arrived. Now, let me translate that above tale into a possible, real-world scenario: Tropical storm Arthur rapidly gains power, rising through the ranks of storm categories until it's a full-blown hurricane. Hurricane Arthur tears through the eastern seaboard, taking many lives and destroying much infrastructure. In short order during the aftermath of this great tragedy, the U.K sends Prince William on another one of his humanitarian, "he's just like us!" P.R stunts to America, where he surveys the areas hit, offering relief, aid and comfort. The people are enamored with him. This opportunity will be used to push some kind of U.N. agenda bullshit or make some unprecedented play at reclaiming the eastern territories for British rule, which would be sickening irony considering how close we are to the celebration of our Independence. Think about it, shits going DOWN. Israel and Hamas have their thing going with the "deaths" of 3 kidnapped boys; the Muslim caliphate is going live; Obama continues to be Obama. The sides are being set up, the teams are being made. They've been conditioning us to "choose sides" for yeeears. It's beyond Team Edward vs. Team Jacob or Team left Kit-Kat vs. Team right Kit-Kat. They want you on one of their pre-determined teams for the fate of the world. But, you don't have to choose any of their teams. Rather, you can choose to be free. Problem-Reaction-Solution Of course, this is all just theory... |
