Is this what the ancient Israelites looked like?

Well they were up in what is now known as Lebanon, not anywhere near Judah. Also Jesus shows his great mercy though his mission at that particular time and dispensation was for the house of Israel he still healed that womans child because of her great faith.

The Roman centurion is another case of a man of great faith that was not a Jew that Jesus helped despite his mission was not for the gentiles at that point in time.
