Ive never had a herpes blister, but according to statistics 80% of people are asymptomatic, meaning 10/20 years down the line even in abstinence or marriage you could just start getting genital blisters.. One in 4 are carriers.. Im almost convinced I have it after reading all this shit. Any reduction in contagion is a huge step.

The fact they dont test for it in routine std clinics is asinine. They want it to spread so they can sell more pills (valtrex being the lesser effective of a few antiviral medications in its developmental testing, so patients would need more). If the other 80% were informed, a total 25% of the population, there would be much more pressure for vaccines or a cure (which biggest obstacle is funding).

I wouldnt want herpes injected into me even in vaccine form thankyou very much.

I agree, in the sence of getting yearly flu shots, or wide array of foreign and exotic diseases. But when the disease is life long, and 25% of the immediate surrounding population, I'd take it once.

A potential lover would bring you soup if you've got the flu.. or visit and pray next to your hospital bed if you had yellow fever.. Tell them you have herpes, and watch the door slam on their way out.

I notice most people assume that everyone has hsv 1 if they have had a cold. No one in my family has ever had a cold sore. On the flip side my ex husband's family all got cold sores frequently. My kids are worried they might, but so far no.

No, if you get hsv from someone during oral it would be hsv 1 on the genital, which happens frequently.

Condoms are only about 60% effective against herpes at best.. The only way to be fool-proof protected is live in a bubble. like stated, one in 4 have it, 80% dont know. Its not just, blister = herpes. If you've had sex with more than 4 ppl, there is a good chance you may have it.

BTW if the data are true every one of us have that little painful thing on our tongue every once in a while, that heals after 4-5 days. If you look at how contagious it is and how many people are already having it there is statistically no way to avoid it.

IT IS NOT an STD. It is a virus that lives with us, and - at times, when there is a little cut on the skin, or immune system is weakened - it causes blisters, wherever the infection happened. People with a ruined immune system (due to vaccines, "medications", etc) may experience serious symptoms - just like with any other infection.

Scare tactic is "health-care" industry's favorite tool.

if you are one of those infected with oral hsv 1 and asymptomatic, consider yourself lucky.. you will not get hsv 1 gental herpes.. the virgin who gets his first blowjob is likely to contract genital herpes.
