Are you aware you legally gave up all your gun rights by asking for a permit? You did. Now all they have to do is take away the permits (so called concealed carry permits) and you will not be allowed to even own a gun legally. They are stamping down on all the open carry people to force them into a permit process. Guess what comes next? |

These "open carry" advocates are just weak willed egoists who get off on feeling "special" because they are packing a weapon. Grow up and do something noteworthy to earn some self respect! Quoting: Anonymous Coward 59709641 Exercising Natural Rights as guaranteed by the constitution is the most noble action one can practice.. As is my choice, I will continue to walk this land strapped and heavy for any eventuality. It's a John Locke philosophy which is ever so unreachable to the "my pretty pony crowd".It's my land, my country, the corporate pigs are just paying rent. There is nothing you or anyone else could ever do about it..the southern boarder is wide open so leave. If you know which direction south is.. SundownSmith |

As you’ve likely seen in the media, there has been a debate about whether guests in communities that permit “open carry” should be allowed to bring firearms into Target stores. Our approach has always been to follow local laws, and of course, we will continue to do so. But starting today we will also respectfully request that guests not bring firearms to Target – even in communities where it is permitted by law. KUDOS! to Target. |

And also people's right not to visit if they don't like it. Personally, I don't see how this negatively impacts Target because their demographics generally isn't that that carries concealed weapons. |

Chrewman User ID: 54914554 United States 07/02/2014 09:01 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | The way I read the article is that Concealed Carry is still OK if the person is licensed. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 54401738 I may be the oddball here but those who "open carry" bother me too. In my experience over the years "open carry" types who insist on doing that in public crowded places tend to have mental issues ... and I have dealt enough with those types over the years in my job, and seen almost every one at one point in time use their "open carry" gun to actually threaten or shoot someone that people who do that leave me nervous. I shoot. Virtually everyone I know has a CC permit and carries, but OPEN CARRY in a public place tells me that the person probably has mental issues. Really? It tells me they will not subject themselves to tyranny. If everyone rebelled against tyranny, we wouldn't constantly be talking about how politicians continue to get away with atocities against liberty................. |

Tharget can tell anyone on THEIR property what they can or cannot bring onto their premisis. Why do Americans always have double standards? They go on and on about liberty, but yet they don't respect the right of businesses to choose whatever they do or don't support. |

Quoting: Anonymous Coward 47910020 I now feel I am in more in danger in your stores because I won't be protected by law abiding CCW holders I'll take my business elsewhere. That's right, and the dumb asses at Target have now painted a target on themselves by INVITING criminals to rob Target stores because they know the citizens aren't allowed to protect themselves while on the premises. “The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.” |

"God forbid we should ever be 20 years without such a rebellion. The people cannot be all, & always, well informed... If they remain quiet under such misconceptions it is a lethargy, the forerunner of death to the public liberty... Let them take arms... What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? [link to abullseyeview.com] Most of these big stores are now the right hand of the government. They get support from the government by giving people welfare money to shop in their stores and in return they serve the governments agenda. Walmart even admitted to this and said they would go bankrupt otherwise. Stop shopping at these places. They are no longer price competitive and they're not even considered private anymore with all the government collusion they do and vice versa. These stores have literally hit rock bottom and only survive because of government. |
Patriot_In_Waiting User ID: 47638920 United States 07/03/2014 02:54 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | ... Quoting: Patriot_In_Waiting I agree with most of your point....however just because it is becoming socially unacceptable doesn't make it provocative.....an open carry is a deterrent and can be dangerous because you are a target of any criminal intending to commit crime because you are an obstacle and a threat for them......the left has made a weapon taboo, but how many criminals use a holster? Not many, in fact even in law enforcement I can only recall one time that I encountered that. As far as your view of the "dopey redneck " carrying his Glock as a threat of violence......I think that a snap judgement can be opposite of your thoughts, not saying that Bubba waiving a gun in the air wouldn't be a problem but most times I find this to be a non issue There are plenty of people that should not carry a weapon because of emotion......road rage is a prime example But if you thought the jackass that cut you off had a gun, you would be far less likely to be aggressive out of the same fear that a weapon creates for a robber......all in all+ {b] I feel that everyone should be more responsible for their family and their own safety and refuse to be a victim -Patriot I agree. i just think the most effective and least obtrusive and problematic way to do it is with a concealed weapon True.....also most people have no idea that there are CCW and they never knew anyone was armed It's smarter all around to carry concealed. it creates less irrational fear and gives you an added element of surprise. i don't know about you, but if I were in a store that some dope fiend was robbing at gunpoint, the last thing I'd want them to know is that I was packing a piece. It is my opinion it would be better to let them go on their way than risk opening fire in a crowded enviroment. It's a case of "it's none of my business, stay the hell out of it". Now on the other hand if they open fire first or are threatening myself or someone I know, I'd put a hole between their eyes without blinking. All that guy behind the counter has to do is give up the cash and he'll probably be alright. it isn't up to me to try to save 7=11's 324 dollars and 52 cents. If I were open carrying in that situation, odds are i would be shot before I knew what was happening. NEVER assume anyone is going to behave rationally, especially not in this day in age. If I was open carrying and realized there was an armed robber I would put my shirt down if possible until the time was right, I am not dying for other people's money!!! Also Exactly right especially if they are dope sick !! they will be even more unpredictable......if it's about the cash, let it go as it can be replaced However if it's about a human life then they will have what I refer to as a kodak moment......the last thing they will see is the flash Patriot_In_Waiting My name is patriot_in_waiting and I'm a GLPTARD If we get caught.....I'm deaf, and you don't speak English |
