No power, no running water, and no phone. It was actually far more healthy for us then with everything. I can make do without the washer and dryer. I have washed clothes by hand and hung them out for many years. I have a gas stove so that is not an issue. Lights I can make due without at night time, because I have kerosene lamps here, and plenty of solar lights. We heat with gas, so don't use electric for that. I believe I have done most of my part already. |

By the end of our wilderness trips nothing on earth felt a nice as a hot shower, and clean running water. We where also sick of being wet when it rained 19 days in a row drying clothing was nearly impossible. We can handle high heat and high humidity, but when it got really cold I would have given most anything for a nice shelter and a heat source to relax in.Shelter also provides protection from animal, especially bugs like mosquitoes. Other than those basic things I could do without everything else. On the want list though would be lights,a stove, and of course a pc lol. I could ditch a phone,tv,microwave,or an alarm clock and not miss them lol. |

OH you mentioned refrigerator. After our trips we cut the size of our fridge.I would like to ditch it all together, but it is nice to have to keep some "fresh" items in.Cheese and meat mostly. We do have a deep chest freezer though, and I can not imagine giving that up. |
