Yes Alcohol. Am in an outpatient rehab and have been starting AA.

Beer, vodka, rum, anything to get me drunk.

I've been sober for about 2 months now. It's hard sometimes, I admit. But I don't miss the hangovers, or the thin wallet in the morning.

Think I'll stick it out this time.

If you think you might want another drink read about how miserable pancreas disease is. Trust me it's horrible, I got it and never drank.

First try with help. I have tried to abstain before but it doesnt work.

I don't. I have some imsomnia now. Hopefully it will pass.

Clear headed. REality is weird when you are not cloudy.

I drank way to much. 10-15 a day about 5 days a week.

What happened that made you seek help?

I have worked (indirectly) with quite a few addicts and have had personal experiences as well and know it usually takes a choice that is so undesirable, that getting help is the only option palatable.

*Side Note that is relevant-The only things I've ever seen that truly changed (hard core drug) addicts were Jesus Christ or having their children taken away from them.

My wife started to aggrivated and I did some soul searching. I knew it was bad but I think that little push helped me. Also I talked to a friend who has been sober 30+ years.

Good for you! Any addiction is indeed hard to beat and sometimes it takes a few slides backward to get enough traction to make it up over the hill. Stay the course!

Good luck on that. Wish my wife would LET me get sober. I'm not into alcohol that much, I get it in other ways but every damn time I try to straighten up like today my wife flips out about something really fuckin stupid and I end up saying fuck it...back to the vice. When I do my drug of choice she never ever fights with me, but the day I decide that I've had enough and try to do right she can just tell and acts like an idiot.

She doesn't even do drugs is what I can't figure out, hey OP why is my wife an idiot when I make up my mind to start doing better?

i havnt had a drink or smoked weed in a year and a half, do i feel better or more healthy overall? fuck no, i might even feel worse actually. the only positive is my house is cleaner and my memory better.
