I had no idea we had more prisoners than China. I know a handful of people that were in the system growing up, it's hell. I was on probation before turning 18, it was a joke.

My one friend growing up constantly got out because he spent money on a good lawyer.

My step father is a CO, he says don't get a public defender and he's right. It's fucking sickening. I could never work at a prison.

The US arrests too many people, has too many prisoners, too many parasite lawyers, too many abc agencies, too many militarized cops, etc... Stopping the criminalization of people for drugs would be a good start to fixing things.

There are several causes:

Drugs - Meth, Heroin, Coke, & Crack
Poor Education System
Media induced thug culture
Media induced disgusting culture
No structure in society, it is all shades of gray for young people
No jobs for those that are not rocket scientists - those jobs went overseas and the greedy American's sold out their people for cheap, poor quality goods. Hogs to the trough.
An evil legal system that preys upon young people that took the bait put out by the media and the culture
Mandatory Minimums, sentencing is a one size fits all rather than the judge looking at the circumstances and the person

Fuck this place and the dumb fucking laws and dumb fucking jurors that put people away for years on end. I don't like Obama and his gang but I have to say he is doing one hell of job on destroying this place. However, he could not have done it if the people were not so damn evil.

They have allowed themselves to believe that it is somehow justice that a person convicted of a non-violent offense spends the rest of their life in prison.


They demand more and more arbitrary legislation, laws to regulate virtually every aspect of our lives, and severe punishments for non-conformity.

Not only that, but they believe that once someone has been ACCUSED of a crime (a crime that could be as petty as talking back to a cop or not cutting ones grass to the appropriate length or refusing to allow a government entity to install a radiation-emitting smart meter in your home) that they are DESERVING of whatever treatment the police decide to mete out.

There is no more innocent until proven guilty.

If you are ACCUSED of a crime, you are suddenly to be treated as a sub-human being. Like a piece of chattel or worse.

Cops, who were NEVER supposed to have the authority to mete out punishment, are killing people in their own homes without even charging them with a crime, they are killing American citizens on the streets for saying the wrong thing in the wrong tone of voice or for legally carrying weapons that the cops deem threatening. They are killing people's pets because they offer citizens protection.

And what's worse, 90% of American's believe that this is just FINE, that it's OK, because these are the police, they wouldn't do anything that wasn't for the public's own good, right?

If you are unlucky enough to be CONVICTED of a felony, you're pretty much fucked. The populous now believes you are a piece of human refuse, no longer deserving of basic, fundamental human rights, even though nowhere in our Constitution does it say that our American rights can be terminated by the ruling of a criminal court judge.

Then, you are thrown into the prison system, where you are at the mercy of corrupt guards and prison financiers, made to work for pennies an hour while the corrupt people at the top turn a tidy profit. And if you refuse, you will be beaten, starved, thrown in solitary confinement or worse.

And if you complain, nobody will believe you or care, because you are nothing but a criminal, deserving of no consideration or human compassion. Certainly, your word will NEVER be believed above that of a corrections officer.

This is their ultimate goal. To have the good little conformists on the outside, and those who refuse to toe the line be used as slaves on the inside of one prison or another.

They call it justice, but it's really nothing more than a modern institution of human slavery. And as the crimes that people are imprisoned for become more petty and as the general populous becomes more ignorant of their rights, the system will only get bigger and less humane.
