Re: A question for trinitarians

Then who's the Father? He's obviously of a higher authority than Jesus. And YHWH is spirit, not man nor son of man. So Jesus obviously can't be YHWH.
 Quoting: vedklyvare

Who are you?

Your body,

Spirit ...

Soul ...

history...

Who are YOU?

Re: A question for trinitarians

...

Sorry, I've heard all those analogies before. It's ridicoulus, semantic masturbation.
 Quoting: M1.618

No analogies

A point.

If you can not even understand your reality in context

How can you fathom G///d.
 Quoting: vedklyvare

I didn't say I could fathom God. He gave us commandment, guidelines, concerning the nature of His being: He is one, there's no other, He's spirit, He's eternal and does not change. You're playing games, I'm a straight-shooter. And I know why you're playing those games.

Answer the question, please. 1/3 of God or one of three Gods?
 Quoting: M1.618

There are no gods, there is only Him & creation,

... Somehow this must be translated outside of the garden.

Love Him above self & creation as self...

Obey natural law. The word.

Who said & lived those words?

The prophets?

Or a the Lord?

& the Christ is a fiction to many...

Yet to some HE IS

As they behold His Spirit Holy ...

set apart.

1/1

Everything can be abstract you need to extract what is concrete.

And test it.

To make certain it is.

See, I already knew your answer would be something like that. That really doesn't do anything for me. New-age platitudes don't make me jizz in my pants and I don't confuse the diffuse with veiled wisdom.

Answer my question or don't.

God is Holy. Change is subject to Time. God is Supremely Holy and therefore not subject to Time.

He is the opposite. Your imagination of Him is what's static, lifeless, and dead.

I said "What good does it do you or anyone else for that matter to makes this claim about God...?"

Your answer:

"Of course I believe it.

I have total faith in God and what ever God will create."

Good for you. Now it's time to learn how to inspire it in others.

"What's it to you if he should tarry until I return?"

Or is the Holy Spirit telling you to teach others to also be obnoxious pests about their beliefs...

I answered your question
He is 1/1 one of one & </< greater than of greater than.

According to you, is the one Jesus refers to as Father in the NT, the same as YHWH, the God of Israel, in the OT?

This thread is not for you gnostics. That goes for you too beebee.

Thread: Jonah is often referred to as the "pouting prophet"- If you were in his shoes, how might you have responded to God's assignment to him?

Read OP, from Celestial Maiden.

Re: A question for trinitarians
Might I add the Elohim being plural yet using singular verbs points to a Godhead. Further, it was the Angel of the Lord which spoke to Abraham, Moses in the Burning Bush, etc. I believe this is pre-incarnate Jesus, the WORD OF GOD. Instead of 1+1+1=3 gods, we see 1 x 1 x 1=1 GOD. The Father as the source with the Son and Spirit preceding, all with equal authority and power in a state of infinite love and communication and agreement. the WORD OF GOD gave up his authority and power on his own terms, showing what was necessary for redemption through his blood, not being killed but giving up his life to take it back up. After this sacrifice, Jesus, the WORD OF GOD, ascended back into heaven and came into his pre-incarnate glory.
There is a NT reference to Isaiah seeing pre-incarnate CHRIST, in a text that would appear to be the FATHER, the ANCIENT OF DAYS, CHRIST revealed he was the I AM to the pharisees, that he was before Moses, and he is higher than the Angels, the source of Creation, and much more. We also the the HOLY SPIRIT in creation and perhaps in leading the Israelites through the desert, and perhaps in the Ark of the Covenant. Regardless, there is one GOD. The GOD IS ONE reference in the OT in Hebrew is the same as used to describe "one army" "one cause" "one group" not acting as a group of individuals but in perfect communion. John tells us there are three that bear witness. Boom, trinitarian.

Who here, for all his certainty,
is the Man of Truth that is only true in every word he speaks,
that we should all acknowledge as The True Man of God.
Who here should I believe in?
Which man is True?
