Quoting: Anonymous Coward 56379015 What would you do if they get in your face and cuss at you on a daily basis. Did you take it or give it back? Seduce his wife/fiancee/girlfriend-----that way he will feel his manhood threatened and maybe feel humilitated. If he fires you-----make sure the woman ends up with you. That will make the knife go in deeper. If he threatens violence, buy a gun. Whatever way---------you walk away with free pussy and renewed confidence in yourself. |
Anonymous Coward User ID: 59672167 United States 07/09/2014 11:39 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | My ex-boss (company owner) was a bully. He got his jollies out of intimidating people, especially women (I'm female, BTW). You could see the gleam in his eyes whenever someone would cower from him. The more vulnerable you appeared, the more he'd bully you. I was fresh out of college. It was my first real job. He picked up on the fact that I was terrified of him, and naturally, I became his new target. It was horrible. I (stupidly) stayed at that job for 5 years, too scared to quit. (What would he do ... fire me for quitting? LOL!) More often than not, I'd drive home in tears. Rumor had it he was on drugs, but I don't know that for a fact. If he wasn't, he definitely had some kind of personality disorder. One minute, he acted like your best buddy, then suddenly (literally within seconds!) he'd be furious for no apparent reason. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 42149564 In the meantime, the boss's son was sexually harassing me. I found out, after accepting the job, that he and the girl I was replacing had an affair. They fired the girl, and he only got a slap on the wrist. Apparently he thought I was his new plaything, and began hitting on me. I'd turn down his advances, and he'd get mad and set me up, making it look like I wasn't doing my work correctly, and getting me in trouble. Everybody knew what he was doing, but they looked the other way. One day, the boss called me to his office, for yet another a$$-chewing. I don't even remember what his "reason" was. By that time, I'd become numb to it. He proceeded to chew me out, and without even knowing I was going to do it, I suddenly told him I quit. The look on his face was PRICELESS. (I think I was as shocked as he was! LOL!) He started back-pedaling and telling me what a great employee I was, trying to change my mind. Nope! I walked out of that office with my head held high. I had defeated him. I still can't believe I put up with all that crap for 5 years, especially for $8.35 (at the most) an hour. Never again. I went into business for myself, and never looked back. |

I say nothing, I offer nothing, I have no opinion. I give them the presence of my body, but they no longer get my mind. My mind is on strike, I am in the tech field so until something changes I make no motions to improving technology and leave it status quo. My answer to everything is: I do not know. |

If no - Are you the only bullying victim or are others in your department affected?? If you are the only person which one of you is more senior? Is it effecting your performance evaluations? Research hostile work environment. Look for a lawyer who specializes in work place harassment lawsuits. If it is your entire department or a percentage of the department you need to band together, document the bullying and go to the HR department. |

If the boss becomes too unruly, it says to break the glass and throw the book at him. :Friday: ------ |

Rising Son User ID: 55330370 United States 07/09/2014 02:17 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | It was probably better that way - anyone in a leadership position that acts that way is not a leader, and the company/employees will suffer as a result. It sucks though because I feel as if maybe I should of kept taking the bs. I did at first, but it didn't stop. I don't know how people in the corporate world do it. All I want to do is my work and be left alone. I understand you need critiquing/direction from supervisors, but not unwarranted badgering. I guess that is too much to ask. It depends on your perception. I can see where your regret is coming from, given the job market and how deplorable it is - people tend to gut it out thinking they won't be able to get a job as good. The other way to look at it is that you would continue to be miserable, your whole life would suffer because of how our jobs tend to dictate how we generally feel, and you would despise yourself each and every time you bit your lip and didn't stand up for yourself. Just remember that when one door closes, another opens - I wish you good luck in finding a better job than the one you came from. "Be still, and know that I am God." Psalm 46:10 Truth needs no validation because it is self-evident and undeniable. Therefore, anything that requires validation to be realized or justified as truth must contain at least some degree of falsehood. Light travels faster than sound. This is why some people appear bright until you hear them speak. [link to www.youtube.com (secure)] |
