Apparently they hit Harvard Square again last night... missed it due to all the doom here at GLP [link to www.boston.com] |

The scanner traffic suggests otherwise. Reminds me of this case in Taunton where someone shot a dude then left his body on the tracks hoping to conceal evidence. [link to www.patriotledger.com] I guess that explains why I heard officers dropping off "items" at Sturdy Memorial Hospital... ugh gross. :puke: |

Quoting: Norml85 As long as they stay away from Weston Going there for a catered Christmas party tonight. Only a true Weston'r would hire a complete kitchen staff for less than a dozen ppl. FTW! That sure beat my plan for tonight's dinner: Hot pockets and a 6 pack. I've been on the road too much lately to buy any real food... the trick is to drink the 6 pack first, then the hot pockets are DELICIOUS!!! |

Wordsworth Units dealing with it have switched to citywide emergency channels... State Police on scene. Crowd near Martha Road numbering somewhere around 600. Well I'll be landing in Boston very soon and then driving home from Logan. I'll take pics if I see anything worth while. ~*Ride the Wave*~ |

I could've tried harder, but it was a work night and I have a lot of make up work to do today. Normally I would've stayed up til 4am to see some, but I had to do the adult thing, blah, and go to bed. Ho Ho No: School bans Santa from winter concert A Massachusetts school that advertises itself as an “inclusive community” banned Santa Claus from its annual Christmas concert in the hometown of Harvard University after someone complained. “I am writing to you today to inform you of a change in our concert series this winter,” wrote Principal Jennifer Ford in a letter to parents of the Peabody School in Cambridge. “Our first through fourth grade concert as well as our kindergarten concert will not include a visit from Santa Claus this year.” The principal did not explain why Santa was banned from the December 12 concert. I’m not going to attempt to nail down the timing of these because the final two are so far out. The first one is the remnants of the California storm from last week and will bring some light rain to the area Tuesday night. The second one will likely pass out to sea south of our area over the weekend, but will need to be watched. The final two will occur sometime from about Christmas Eve through the 29th. The GFS loop of storms below takes us to Christmas Day. The purple areas represent rain or snow. [link to www.boston.com] ~*Ride the Wave*~ |

I will post all relevant scanner traffic that I receive as I get it... Quoting: R. Wordsworth :martial: For the decades I have been alive and living in Massachusetts, more than any other part of the country...... IF you don't like the weather, wait 10 minutes and it will change. I remember distinctly the night before the Blizzard of 78. All the weathermen were predicting 6-8 INCHES. I woke up to 6+ FEET. Though one did say it could be worse, Don Kent, the KING of the weathermen who had a better record than even the new technology of today which is less accurate than the Farmer Almanac. |
