You're rght, it's a system and i cannot provide any truth of "the matrix" but there are times when i walk the streets with no emotion, because this world is madness. So so much injustice, almost everywhere.

The system has enslaved us, emotions = energy in motion
Emotions can make you climb a mountain, or destroy 5 men trying to hurt your family

It's a very powerful energy, and they don't want us to have it anymore... It's one of the ways they attack our awareness.

Humanity is easy to control, and it seems as if there are some human who have stuck around throughout the ages.

Being leaders, politicians, celebrities, kings and queens, etc
Imagine how easy a person who lives 500+ years could control the world
... Imagine 30 of them

Based on my search I find the Archon story most interesting, mix that with Andrew Crosse's experiment where small bugs manifested from nothing (not nothing, but electricity), it all seems to fit
