Obama was in Austin, TX, home of UT, and was flashing the university's "Hook 'em Horns" hand sign. George W Bush got accused of the same thing during his inaugural parade when he used the hand signal to salute UT's passing contingent. Having attended UT's arch rival Texas A&M, believe me - I know this hated hand sign. Obama wasn't about to start head-banging either. We've got plenty of other legit things to nail President Zero over - this ain't one of therm so don't let it destract you. |

QUITE the joke on mainstream america. Having the college kids of america - and Texas Patriots making the sign of the devil....introduced on November 11th 1955 - 11-11 anyone??? [link to www.youtube.com (secure)] some better videos but this will do for starters You can be arrested in some countries for giving this sign... The countess people showing support for TU, a school I don't even like, are making longhorn signs. Useful as it is, the human hand isn't infinitely flexible. Signs and gestures get repeated. If you didn't know that some shmo before you used the same sign to mean something else (as if that locked its meaning), or you simply didn't care, I ask you - how would YOU make a hand sign reminiscent of a school's longhorn mascot without unnaturally or painfully contorting your hand? To the poster who said "most people think it's just a longhorn hand gesture"; well I doubt it... Heavy metal's been around for something like 35-40ish years now (I'm not going to bother looking up Steppenwolf's discography at the moment), and dark cabals have existed for millennia longer, but the point is that THEY (UT fans) mean it as a longhorn symbol, thus coming from them it definitely is, and in almost all cases that's all it is. |
