The last time it happened I swear there were hooded figures standing around me. That being said, Inception is real. Natural man could dream and dream wonderful things with ease. Not anymore. Our dreams are the target. Hence the fluoride. |

OrdoAbChao User ID: 60967972 United States 08/30/2014 04:47 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | ive been suffering from SP since birth and get it almost weekly. i cannot tell you the last time i was frightened or thought another presence was there to hurt me... i just wake up in my head but cant move my body or anything. what is weird though is i can see as if my eyes are open but i know they cant be. sometimes i see a side image of myself as almost a OBE. weird thing also i might add is that when friends of mine stay the night they experience SP on rare occasions despite never experiencing SP before sleeping over. it scares the crap out of some of my friends. which is understandable because usually they get the dark figure haunting presence. a lot of my friends originally never told me of their experiences until i told them of mine, i guess it gave them comfort that they were not just having a typical nightmare. i always chalked it up to the cause being natural. i sleep on my back [ which increases the chance of SP significantly ] and i fall asleep with the tv on plus fans always running, something must make enough noise just to wake up my senses but not enough for my senses to register a body reaction. most people fall asleep immediately during SP rendering them fine and unknowing of the issue. i know there is a huge amount of information that says other wise like OBE'S, Astral projection, Haunting's,etc. i really wish i had a answer for myself and those who experience it. thankfully im so used to it that it doesn't startle me or send my conscience in a flight or fight mode... i just have to think about wiggling my toes and or fingers and im awake. The evil spirits. Command them to flee in the name of Christ Jesus. Even if they try to hold your tongue. Even if they mute your mouth. Keep trying to say it. To the ones who love God, have admitted that they were rebellious to God, repented, and put their trust in the saving work of Christ Jesus' death on the cross and his resurrection, and are filled with God's Holy Spirit... God will strengthen you in those times. Call on His name. And to those with night terrors, sleep paralysis, and visitations by what you think are curious entities or even aliens... accept Christ Jesus today! There is peace! There is safety for our spirit and soul. But it's only through the blood and resurrection of Jesus Christ! James 4:7-8 7 Submit therefore to God. BUT When i do try and slap myself and or grab at my face i can bring my hands in front of my eyes and see them but when i go to touch my face i run my hands over my eyes and can feel them closed. almost as a 3rd eye activation. all in all, weird stuff. feel free to shoot back and fourth about the subject, i know its a profound experience that many and i mean many of us face but there is little to no explanation for it. im open for anything about it. Anonymous Coward User ID: 5246204 United States 08/30/2014 06:02 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | If you're the kind of person that spooks easily, then yeah I can certainly see how sleep paralysis might make you believe something insidious was done to you. From my perspective only, I would say sleep paralysis experiences are more frustrating than frightening. Imagine what it might be like to get stuck in a coffin. You panic for the first few minutes because you can't move. 5 minutes pass, then 10 minutes pass. Then, as the minutes drag on, your mind eventually calms down and you realize nothing has really happened to you. And then as the experience repeats nightly or weekly, nothing ever does happen to you except that you're stuck. It got so repetitive that sometimes it became BORING, like being forced to sit in meditation when you're an energetic kid and don't want to sit still at all. No voices ever talked to me. No whispers from the shadows. No shadowy shapes in the darkness. Nothing. One night I tried something different. When you're in sleep paralysis, you often feel like you're teetering on the edge of falling into a dark, endless abyss. Please note, it's a feeling I'm trying to describe, I'm not actually saying there's a dark abyss. One night, in sleep paralysis, I relaxed and allowed myself to fall into that "abyss". It was a very unpleasant feeling, like I could die, like I was being compressed into a very small space. But then, I started to slip and slide like I was in a tube. Then, the whole world lit up around me and I found myself standing outside my house in the street. That's right. I had my first out-of-body experience. In conclusion, I believe sleep paralysis is a prelude to out-of-body experiences. There's lots to see. As for frightening "entities", I personally don't believe they cause or are even capable of causing sleep paralysis. Sleep paralysis is more of an indication of that person's latent talent to astral travel. Entities without a physical body are actually pathetically weak compared to what you're capable of doing to them with a mere thought. I do however think some might be attracted to a person in sleep paralysis for other reasons. Have fun. Good luck. It's mostly a safe experience, but don't trust everything you see if you shift from sleep paralysis to out-of-body. |

Anonymous Coward User ID: 58468267 United States 08/30/2014 10:48 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | My experience was a couple years ago. It started off as if it was a dream but became very real. In the "dream" I was coming in the back door after taking my dog out before bed. Something didn't feel right outside. I unleashed the dog and walked past my kitchen sink. A crumpled paper towel elevated about six inches off the counter and I remember saying to myself, calmly, "they are here". I walked to the bedroom and got in bed with my husband. Next thing I know I feel a presence around the bed. I am not afraid of them but afraid of what they want to do.My husband goes into our bathroom and shuts the door. I am unable to move and begin to try to scream out for my husband. I attempt to say help and scream out his name but words will not come out. I was panicking. I was finally able to get a garbled scream out and "woke up" with my husband next to me in bed. I was shaking, sweaty, and my throat hurt. We got out of bed and went and sat in the kitchen where I proceeded to tell him what I had just experienced. He had been awakened by my last few garbled screams for help. Next morning my throat hurt. The details were so fresh in my mind. I was afraid to go to bed for the next several weeks. My arms started aching and I couldn't figure out why. One morning I woke up in the strangest position. I was on my back with elbows up towards the ceiling and hands on opposite shoulders. It hurt to unbend my arms. Over the next two years I found that I slept in this position many nights. My husband has been elbowed more times than you can imagine. I don't know how or if this ties in to the "dream" but it is definitely an odd position to sleep in and really goes against the relaxed body state of sleep. To this day I still question what happened that night. I had dreams of "them" on and off for about 6 months. All I really remember when I wake up is that they stand around the bed. Usually about three of them.I don't know what "they" are but they are familiar. I haven't had the dreams in quite awhile now, thankfully. |
