Anonymous Coward User ID: 60019817 Canada 07/12/2014 02:35 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | How will the US government continue borrowing at this rate if they end QE? Real Doom ahead If the Fed stops buying government treasury bonds, who will buy such a large amount of bonds? China? Superman? Believe me, the US GDP growth has been positive due to government spending. Tapering or the reduction of US bond purchases has left the government with less money to spend in the American economy and this is why the US GDP contracted in the first quarter and not because of weather. This is worse than the debt ceiling people. If nobody lends the US government money, how can they borrow more? Doom is near unless we can convince Yellen and friends to keep buying government bonds. I didn't even mention mortgage backed securities purchases either. No more MBS purchases will mean higher risk to banks and thus will stop lending leading to another housing crash. This is what we've all been waiting for folks. QE ending in October [ link to news.investors.com] |

Real Doom ahead The first quarter GDP growth was -2.9%. If Q2 GDP growth is less than 0%, then we will be officially in recession. The MSM keeps blaming the weather and say Q2 will be super growth. Are they lying to us? |
