Anonymous Coward User ID: 28385893 United States 12/02/2012 06:34 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Tough to kill germs, but start here, it works for me. First, buy a new hygienic type bed pillow, throw your old pillow out, buy extra pillowcases, keep your pillow clean. You could also put clean towels on the pillow and change those often. Cut your hair, your hair should be short so air and sweat aren't a problem. Shampoo with head and shoulders type shampoo, rinse, repeat. Then on one day, apply povidone iodine lotion to the scalp, it's that dark red stuff you can find at a drugstore (it doesn't stain but looks messy). Rub it in your scalp, let it sit for five minutes, rinse. On alternate days use hydrogen peroxide on your scalp, same essential procedure. No hats. No hairspray. Keep your bath towels clean and hang them up outside the bathroom to dry, no mildew. It can take a long time to get under control, but you should see improvements within a couple of weeks, and then you need to follow this regimen, even after it clears up, psoriasis never really goes away. Best wishes. |

Find a movie that you love, or, do something that you've spent much time practicing. If you're a drummer, go out and sit down on the set an allow yourself to just flow on the drums. After of which, you will find yourself with relief. Think positive and do NOT focus on it. Eternal LOVE!!! |

SilverPatriot User ID: 10518597 United States 12/02/2012 08:24 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | I have eczema (contact dermatitis) on my hand and sometimes on my chin where I typically rest my head on my hand and the form I have is allergy based. Regardless it used to itch beyond belief and absolutely nothing worked until I read that oil of oregano helped with intense itching. I used the oil full strength, which made my hand red, and it burned however, the itch was gone now I use a mixture of oil of oregano and olive leave oil and I cut it with coconut oil, which is less intense, and works. Please do research into Oregano Oil to see if this remedy might help you and since it is your scalp, you will need to cut the oil with another gentler oil. Anonymous Coward User ID: 21125755 United States 12/02/2012 08:45 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | I had the same problem. Even on my eyebrows. I got fed up and quit eating. All I consumed for 3 days was distilled water. And it wasn't out of a plastic jug. I did a cleanse and started eating fully organic fruits and veggies. All organic. I didn't have a problem for a few weeks until a broke down and had some regular non-organic milk. Bam! Instant scalp problems. Organic milk was fine but the homogenized growth hormone antibiotic induced death fluid they call milk was the culprit. I no longer drink milk of any kind. Even organic. Plus I grew my hair out. To my shoulders. Maybe that contributes since it is more natural than cropped hair. Besides, I get lots more women now. |

Anonymous Coward User ID: 28786416 United States 12/02/2012 08:55 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | i have the same thing... im not sure if its psoriasis though. derm said sebbhoiric dermatitis Quoting: Anonymous Coward 113144 i have it on my scalp and on my face. it really sucks and i haven't found anything that works very well (i'm staying away from steroids) it's not very noticable if i moisturize but every lotion i try tends to make it a lot worse (the next day the peeling/scaling will be worse than normal) can anyone recommend a good moisturizer? something light.. maybe a gel (not aloe vera gel, tried that already) i dealt with pretty bad acne through my teen years and it really hindered how social and active i really wanted to be. now the acne is under control but just as that happened it's like it transitioned into this other skin condition so i'm living my nightmare all over again. suck to be me :( Maybe it's using shampoo. I tried every shampoo and it always made my face and especially my forehead red and tender. I finally gave up shampoo and used only bar soap to shampoo . Right now I'm using the mild variety bar soap from dollar General. It's about .50 a bar and no irritation. Conditioner doesn't seem to be a problem. |

Put a plastic bag over your hair, and let it set for awhile, keep it warm, maybe sit by your heat register or sit in the sunshine. Rinse out the oil, use the vinegar as a final rinse with cold water or rain water. your psoriasis is due to some food intake, you need to figure it out. Investigate food healing on youtube |

Anonymous Coward User ID: 9231012 United States 12/03/2012 02:05 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | I add more oxygen to my shampoo. In a little 6 ounce paper bathroom drink cup I squeeze how much Head and shoulders dandruff shampoo into it, then I top that off with Hydrogen peroxide. Shampoo it into your DRY hair, avoiding eyes completely, massage around the itchy places like the hairline and around the ears and back of neck. You won't really need water due to the huge amount of foaming from the hydrogen peroxide. Take your time, I leave mine on for about 12 minutes and it has not ever effected my dyed hair color either. Rinse well, towel dry with a clean towel and now the final tip is to ALWAYS blow dry your hair just to the well dry state, do not make your scalp sweat. Never leave your hair wet as it is a fungus issue! This has worked wonders for me! I am almost addicted to using the hydrogen peroxided/shampoo anymore as it adds oxygen to your scalp treatment and the fungi and other nasties really hate clean oxygen. Now my scalp had calmed way down and I only have to use the treatment about 2 times a month. |

Suffered a lot from psoriasis in my youth, being bullied a lot also. Had severe symptoms on my head, I smelled after tar-soap and the oilment. After my teens my conditions improved a lot. Mostly suffered it on my head and genital area's. Nowadays only nails... I used to have a good oilment which helped against itching. All the best for you and hopefully your condition improves... |
