You Don't See That Everyday ...

I love the saying, “You don’t see that everyday,” and I especially love it when it happens to me. You know little things that break up the monotony of our days and give us a sense of wonder, enlightenment, awe, or just confusion, lol. A lot of these things are not worthy, on their own, for an entire thread, but I thought I’d make a thread dedicated to all little oddities that we don’t see everyday.

Today I saw two bald eagles flying over the lake here in Georgia – this is my third bald eagle sighting since moving back here two years ago.

Yesterday I heard what sounded like the police on a loud speaker. I didn’t pay much attention because I live in the hood and evidently there are a lot of rap songs that have what sounds like police on loud speakers, but when I looked out the window I saw a police car, followed by a fire truck, followed by a pick-up truck with a bunch of men sitting in the bed wearing black t-shirts. They drove through the neighborhood slowly with sirens whooping and I have no idea why – I’m assuming a show of force, the police did just get a new armored vehicle. Anyway, you don’t see that everyday.
