China needs those reserves to keep its own position a float by either using the reserves themselves or by making sure no one does, China being number one on the technological manufacturer platform. It's why we've seen China smear muck towards NK, NK is justification for ballistic missile defences and a larger US deployment of manpower and assets to region. It's also the economic thorn to China so if we see a nuclear NK as described earlier China loses if we have NK stay as it is on the production and acquirement path of arms and so forth China loses. It would take the US way to long to seize the Nuclear arms of NK alongside other WMDs the future would see the world either having to do some real dirty work in order to remove Kim or they would have no other option but to swallow a lot of shit and proceed to talks. Also Russia can see the opportunity to play a hand here too and further laugh at the west in the game of spheres of influence, making stopping NK from obtaining it's arms advancement and nuclear arms near impossible. |

It's suicide for them, as clearly SK and USA would demand democracy in NK, and I don't see Kim as candidate in Unified Korea presidential elections with his Kim party running for government. - Next thing is that at least ten non nuclear states has aspirations for nuclear weapons program (Iran, Saudi Arabia, Brazil, Argentina, Germany, even SK and Japan...). And you have country under sanctions with working nuclear device who would for the right price share it's knowledge, especially to enemies of their enemies. - NK is working on ICBM's and SLBM's. That's two legs of Nuclear Triad. When they master this ability, any military action (or even not necessary military) against NK would result in high degree of casualties on USA's own soil. - Just like that USA's dominance is put in question, and course of USA foreign policy will determine other nations actions.
