I just watched it & I don't think they were pushing the race mix agenda at all (shrugs)

I think it was showing just how desperate they were becoming to fall pregnant that it was 'try anything'. Also the African American the blonde (leading Scientist on the fertility program) slept with was one of MANY she was sleeping with & they were all out of the donor sperm batches they were using in the lab.

Re: The Lottery (series)
The science fiction shows this year are quite good. I'm enjoying the Lottery. I also enjoyed the one about the astronaut who got pregnant during a solo mission. I think the season for that one, and possibly the series as well, is over. The ending was a bit confusing. I'm still not sure who really died at the end.

The Strain is quite good, though I enjoyed the earlier episodes more than the more recent ones. I like the idea of treating zombism and vampirism as diseases. It gives a science-fiction element to classic horror themes.

Now I'm getting into the latest one about a 20th century woman who time travelled to 18th century Scotland. She doesn't seem to be as confused as she should be after such a traumatic upheaval, but I think it's going to be a good show.
