Back in the olden days, way back when sonic booms were common, us simple folks had simple lives. We had 2-3 channels on T.V, but spent less than an hour a day watching it. No computers, no cell phones to occupy our time. What we DID do, is spend one hell of a lot more time outdoors. Consequently, we observed nature, and the sky in particular. Jets were still 'new' to most, and when we saw the contrails, or heard the sonic booms as our windows rattled, we talked about what we saw. What we DID NOT SEE, was a contrail that dispersed as they do now. NEVER EVER did we see this phenomena . I've talked to a few dozen folk my age and older, and not a single damned person could EVER RECALL, a contrail behave as they are now. So, what should I believe? A book that someone is talking about, or perhaps the MSM? Hmmmm.... How about believing my OWN EYES, and the memories of my own, as well as many many others?  I was there when the skys were crisp and blue, except for smog around the big cities ... and I remember when the skys got hazy -they called it jet pollution - we couldn't see it, but it was what started the hazyness - and then the chemtrails started appearing - until they covered the skys from horizon to horizon - you'd have to be cooped up in the house or at work, not to notice them - checkerboards in the sky ... and I've watched a lot of planes - for decades as well ... and they never grew clouds out of their ass full of chemicals before - that can be analyses and identified in lethal doses - all over the globe now ... obviously they have changed their formula recently and times of application to night- when they spray in the heat of summer, Rain is followed by a chemical fog that sucks all the moisture out - it totally dehydrate all plant life right down to their roots, no matter how much rain you got - and is impervious to the suns rays, blocking them out completely - making it dark all day with limited visiblity. not normal by any means... not in my lifetime. I have only seen a very few of them lately, but I recognize their effects now, and KNOW when they spray even if I don't see the trails ... its not just me it affects all my pets and livestock, when they spray, we all cough and sneeze - have runny eyes and nose ... alergies you say - I live high and dry - and have a spectacular view - as far as the eye can see, in all direction we don't get alergies out here because the wind never stops blowing them up up and away... I know what's over my head - and often in my lap ... and I know it is foul and unnatural - call it "geo-engineering" if it makes you better about what you're breathing - or call it like it is, and go buy a really good air filtration system for your home my generation, the Boomers have the distinct advantage of not having breathed this shit while we were growing up - you brats are so doomed because to you its "normal" - but we know better, and are protecting ourselves - and you're not... you IGNORE them ... because you are IGNORE ant. |

I'm going to bet some of the reason is so many more planes up there. Used to be that only pretty large planes (707/A300 etc) had the range for cross country flights. Now, with customer demand to "fly when I want to, where I want to with minimum fuss", the newer generation of smaller narrowbody jets (A320, B737) have the range to make more frequent non-stop coast to coast flights...so a single coast to coast heavy flight twice daily is replaced with two or three narrow body smaller jet trips. More traffic up there, but the customers' needs are met and the airlines have good pax loads at their demand. Add to this the frequent shorter daily runs between hubs and smaller airports, which are also customer demand driven, and you get a lot of air traffic. Even with the decline in customer service, flying is a lot more convenient than driving ("get it now" syndrome if you will). Air traffic has grown enormously and steadily since 1960 and the airlines battle to keep their share of the demand. Toss in all the air freight flights and the skies are full of jets meeting customer demands for air travel. Finally, with improved engines and aerodynamics, the jets are capable of higher flight levels with heavy loads, up where the contrails might form more readily. Funny thing tho, in Colorado we just don't get many 'trailing days... might be the dry air, the mountains, not sure, Finally, another wish...with all the notice being made of contrails, why has not a single research flight gone up and gotten samples? I heard of one arranged sometime back but things went bad and the guy absconded with contributed money et al. If there is so much interest, say in Calif...get the funds, fly some sampling flight, and get some data. Heck, NASA's gone environmental ($$$), they could do it. Call it a global warming study. Anyway, it would at least get some data that's directly collected, vs looking at stuff from the ground. my two cents... |
