I've had the rectal exam - not every pap smear appointment but its been done. My question is was there a female nurse in the office at the time of exam? Males should not be examine females alone without witness. She should file a complaint. You can look up this doctor on health grades and things of that sort. She might feel better leaving anonymous complaints on one of the online forums. She doesn't have to be a victim of this situation she can take back a sense of power by filing a complaint if warranted. The first thing to ask is if the doctor had a female witness present - this might be the best way to pursue complaint if there are rules/regulations concerning this.
