Quake Warning: Birds missing for Three Days!

I'm in South Carolina, and there have been more birds than usual lately...

In fact, two days ago, a vulture landed on my balcony and crows were attacking it. It was wild!

Illegal immigrants ate the birds. All of them.

Thank you. East coast looks okay so far.

Noticed it also - no birds even when I put fresh seed out in feeders in a.m. There are always tons of birds at feeders spring/summer/fall. None at all although I do hear an occasional crow in distance. Several days back we had some Arizona Monsoonal weather drift over us so thought it was that - for some reason affecting birds. Even though hot haven't seen much sunlight for days due to weird cloud cover. I'm in Sierra Nevadas of North East Cali a bit north of I 80.

Another strange thing I've noticed in animal behaviour last few days:

1) One morning, a couple days back, walked out to my side yard & there were about 20 to 25 squirrels standing up on twos close together like they were having a meeting! They weren't foraging & were close together. Lived most of my life in mountains & haven't seen that before. Might be normal - idn - just seemed strange.

2) Yesterday evening had a huge buck follow me around yard & got as close as a few feet. He wasn't being aggressive at all & seemed like he wanted help. He wasn't inured or anything like that. It wasn't for water or food either - I live right on a creek & the wild plums are ripe so deer have plenty to eat. He followed me right to my door just a few feet behind me. Weird. Made me nervous - they can be dangerous.

So something is up.

That was me that posted about squirrels/deer but might have different user # now. The weird cloud cover (monsoonal weather from Arizona) is gone now and still no birds today. Sun is out & seems to be a normal summer day except for lack of birds. I also forgot to add that the hawks that usually fly every afternoon are gone also. And also wondering about the insects. Has anybody in Cali or west noticed lack of those? I have an herb garden that usually has bees & butterflys. They are all gone also. Also tried to search on squirrels having "council" like crows do (murder of crows) and couldn't find anything about it. The critters seem to be sensing something that we can't. I'm not one to get alarmed easily but this is starting to bother me.

Even the animals are picking up the vibe that this Age will end in a few Days!!!

im in southern ca. inland empire/ san bernardino county and i agree the birds have been quiet and havent really seen any lately...

got wild turkey walking around with the chickens, doves, and some robins. Crows not around but they go on vacation in summer. oregon

I'm in Utah, there are usually tons of birds out where I am, and come to think of it I haven't heard ANY all spring and so far this summer.. Creeps me out, also when I go out side, it seems eerily quiet, like you want to whisper and tiptoe around...

swamp gas.

I'm the poster from Sierra Nevadas with strange acting squirrels/deer. I'm at the northern end of Sierras where the Cascades start so missing birds & strange behaviour in wildlife was a concern. If Mt. Lassen and Mt. Shasta acts up I'd feel it here. Felt the last quakes from Lassen

So I'm happy to report that the birds have returned this morning. It's not in the same numbers as before but there still were many out there at the feeders this morning. Don't know where they went or why they left but many are back now.

Just wanted to update.

In North/Central California, Tracy/Stockton area. Not a single bird in the last two days, even in the early morning 4-5am PST.

S/Central Texas. Vultures, Crows, Cardinals, and Finches all coming by for their daily feeding.
