Most states reciprocate. If you get a ticket in one state, the points will be applied in your state. They get you coming and going.

MY best friend had me drive to Chicago with her to pay hers! Said if she didn't pay it a bench warrant would be issued and she is a corrections officer.

In the old days, states protected their citizens.

These days, they are all linked up and if you don't pay your ticket then you can get a hold put on your license when you try to renew.

I'm still in Louisianna, the biggest problem is that I no longer have the ticket and wouldn't know who to pay. I don't feel like spending a Saturday calling every police department and state trooper office from baton rouge to Texas.

From what I understand in the letter I once received, I would have to pay some exorbitant fine if I ever wanted to get a CA license.

Hire a ticket attorney in the parish you got the ticket in for about $79 to go to court for you.

No points against your license and you don't have to be there.

Don't just pay the ticket or you're admitting guilt and will get points against your license (higher insurance costs)

If your from another state, simply refuse to do business with them. The ticket is like a contract, refuse to sign it under the Uniform Commercial Code.
