Moving 'stars'..... satellites. ..?

oh they are not satellites. not the kind we know about anyway... check this for fuckedupness... I was looking at the plough one night and the second "star" from the top all of a sudden started to move away and another one moved across the sky within seconds and went in its place.
true story, changed my whole perspective of what some of our so called stars really are.

yes, yes, I see them too. I asked this question before and did not get a response. I hope we get an answer. I also saw them moving in opposite directions. Slow moving. Some constant brightness, some getting dimmer and then brighter.

Exactly!
I was told they were satellites. But I don't think so.

I have been seeing them a lot. Many each night.

Some are probably satellites.
Some I see flash.
Some change direction.

Could be a combination of satellites, asteroids, cosmic rays.

I don't know for sure, but I'm glad someone else is watching.

I saw one one night go across the sky not super fast but horizon to horizon in under a minute and it was not a straight line. It was a crooked zig zag kind of trajectory. I thought that was odd for a satellite to do...

I slept on my deck last night and saw more 'shooting stars' than I do during a meteor shower...yet they weren't. Smaller and shorter. ..If that make sense.

i have been seeing them here in calgary for a few years

at first i thought they were close stars

then i thought satellites, maybe military ships, maybe weather monitoring stuff or whatever

all the planes in my city fly usual flight paths, none of these seem to have any pattern

these lights are bright, given how far they are or seem to be

i came to the conclusion they are unknown, and that they seem to be showing themselves to people looking at the sky

and who knows what else these ships are doing.. i am sure that they can detect us looking up and wondering, and read our thoughts and what not

Yes, the zig zag. I attribute this to the earth "wobble". If you stare at a star, with a stationary object as "perspective", they wobble in place as well. Also, the whole "satellite" thing. I had wondered if they should move in the same direction to account for the rotation of the earth. Maybe east to west. However, those moving lights in the sky that I see also move west to east.

I have seen this too! I was looking up into the early morning sky, and a particular constellation grabbed my attention as it looked unique. Suddenly, one of the stars brightened significantly, then took off into space. I could see it moving away very fast, then it was gone. This was 8 years ago.

So far...none of us believe that these things are satellites. ..
I wish we could get them on video. No way for me... I only have my phone.

yeah, for the last two weeks very active....I've switched from telescopes to binoculars here...I've even gave up deep space viewing the last few nights with my scope, enjoying my binoc's with this kind of nightly show.

why, they are even lite up like stars is a puzzle?

some fast, some slow moving back and forth, then up, stopping and then fixed for long periods of time....It's like the hand of God doing housekeeping and moving stars in the Heaven, Feeling here.

they do seems to move if a blinking jetplane is coming toward it, saw one go up higher before the plane got under it...creepy feeling...

I saw one the other day that was strange.

Dot of light moving across the sky.
Then just in front of it a smaller dot appeared.
The two dots were heading towards eachother, and when the bigger dot moved over the smaller dot, the small one disappeared.
Almost like the bigger dot scooped the smaller on up.
The dot continued to move across the sky.
A few seconds went by and then there was a flash of light where the two objects met in the sky.
