The main reason they do an amputation is because they find cancer. For a guy that old, it probably was cancer.

Every-time I see bill Clinton's face I think about the fact that they assigned a special prosecutor for $50MM to find out if he had sex with a woman. But they only spent $15MM to understand if WTC7 could fall at freefall, into its own footprint, from an office fire, on live T.V.

This is true. They may have found the cancer while doing the circ, & then proceeded to do the amputation. Another scenario is that they got the patient mixed up with another one who was having it removed because of cancer, & if so, that's an oops that they'll be paying big for.

The strange thing about this is that they usually do not put adults asleep for a circ. It's usually just numbed up from the base, creating a nerve block, some cutting & some stitches, & they're sent home with instructions not to try using it until it's completely healed. Usually getting morning wood is painful enough as it pulls on the stitches to keep them following directions, but there are always a few stupid enough to try using it too soon who end up ripping it back open, & then they aren't allowed to get the stitches put back in due to possible infections, so they end up with a really ugly penis for the rest of their lives :)
