I agree with this. I read somewhere that over $80,000 is spent per inmate in NY prisons. Fuck that. I want my tax dollars back. That's more than I've made in a year and I have advanced degrees in science.

As i always said, death penality is one of the big no sense in US history today.
I mean, death penality is just and simply a revenge. And revenge works between criminals, not a civilised state. I can accepts Rwanda or Sudan, but US cant continue this idiocy. Come on, you live in a country where the President want say ok to gay marriage (i strongly disagree), and you continue with death penality? What about focus less on gays, free weed and all fucking hippie idiocies and focus MORE on deleting death penality?
And btw, life prison is even more effective, make real justice. What kind of justice is the death? Jungle justice? Oh come on.

Yes they are. Do you know that inmates are treated to free medical care, Free dental care, free meals, special ones if they request them, education, gyms and recreation rooms and clothes and a place to sleep all at our expense. Whatever happen to prisons being bad places to be?

How about hard labor and bread and water? Or how about the family having to provide the food for their family member or they go hungry...We have to start creating jails that no one wants to go to, not the country clubs we have now...

It is rather strange in this country, our left will fight tooth and nail to keep a murderer alive and then will fight tooth and nail to kill a baby.

Our courts are notoriously lenient with murderers and are anxious to believe they can be re-habilitated and paroled back out into society. One thing the death penalty absolutely cures is recidivism. We know from experience that once a murderer always a murderer.

I think about this often when I'm in San Francisco. So many one and no legged homeless vets who gave their limbs and sanity to fight for our fucked up government.

So they die homeless and waiting for treatment from the VA hospital while we give serial killers internet, TV, and all the other extras you have listed above.

Our system needs a major reset. A big one. And soon.
