Are GLPers more self aware than others?
It seems to me that the one thing most on this site have in common is that they realize their actions no matter how small, have some impact on the world around them. We are also aware of our mortality, trying to find universal truths before we pass. These truths can then be used to further humanity. I know I'm still searching and hope to find solace before I pass. I hope that my consciousness continues after my passing, but the thought that it might not leaves me short of breath some nights.
What me worry?

no, they seem more focused on other people with different colour skin, other peoples religious beliefs if different to theirs and other peoples sexuality.

I think that about sums it up.

How can people who only care about their point of view, filter out any other point of view, and only research their point of view to point it out as the only truth be self aware? Extremely bias, yes. Self aware, no, no, and no.

I agree that there is a lot of talk about race, but to ignore differences in people and trying to figure out how to harness the strengths and weaknesses in races is foolish. There is a reason a German shepherd is used for police work and a sheep dog for sheep. Yes they're both dogs, and yes, you could switch their rolls but by nature they're better suited for what they do.

it is the stories shared here

certainly there is plenty of posturing, racism, and pointless arguing.

but now and then there are threads where the people of this community tell vignettes from their past

some of these tales have stayed with me for days
there are those here that express an inner vibrancy that can leap forth beyond the laptop screen

so yes, maybe.
