War on cops? I disagree, it is war on the citizenry. It is unfortunate the officer was shot but it is well known officers are not chosen for their IQ's.

The Police Officer stood and faced his God which for all must come to past.

uh no. we would be a lot safer because there would be no leos to protect the street gangs from a highly armed US populace ready for vigilante justice.

no leos to smuggle drugs in by aiding the mexican cartels. no leos to protect illegals. no leos to arrest you for protecting your property and family from an intruder. no leos to siphon money from the tax payers writing speeding tickets. no leos to arrest kids for drinking some beer or smoking some pot. and no leos to bust in your house and shoot your dog. no leos to arrest people for lynching child molesters.

Do you want to live in a war zone? I have guns, I would die for the second amendment but I don't want to live in a society where I would have to guard my children on the way to school or the store ALL the time. Leo's are there for a reason. Sure their are bad cops but for the most part they are there to protect and serve.

A lot of cops make over $250,000 a year , as much or more than many surgeons and MDs.

And with only a GED or HS diploma in some places. Or no GED even.

Making as much or more as you make after like 10 years of college.

People keep seeing stories on the news and the web where cops show up and just start abusing people, killing dogs, etc. Not even the elderly, sick, or disabled are immune. Sooner or later, even the average criminal will start to think that "it is either him or me". The end result will be that anyone confronted with an officer will assume they are going to be beaten or killed, that there is no longer any middle ground, and they will act accordingly. Most of these criminals are completely desensitized to violence and when combined with a nothing to lose mentality, everyone gets hurt. I feel for the cop's family. He was someone's dad or brother, son or uncle, husband or friend. Now the lives of everyone around the shooter and the cop are greatly damaged and the community is one step closer to hell.
