I'm New With The Whole Ebola Thing...

I was talking to my father about Ebola this morning. I asked him what would happen if it came to the United States. He simply said "I'm not worried about it. The US doctors are much more equipped to handle this."

I just have a few questions to fully understand what's going on.

1. Is there any way to know if it will come to the United States?
2. IF it does come to the US, what would happen? (ie; Quarantine - Pandemic - Apocalypse - Bug Out Scenario - Mass Panic - State of Emergency)
3. How long do you think until it reahes the US? (ie; Days - Weeks - Months?)
4. What's the best way to protect yourself from getting Ebola?
5. What should we stalk up on if it does reach the US? (ie; Medication - Food - Water)
6. If it does reach the US, how long would it last?

Sorry if these questions make me sound stupid. I just don't know much about this situation. All input is appreciated!
