The same reason a Black Mary/Madonna is being promoted and hinted at.
The same reason 50 African leaders are invited to Washington on the 9th of Av. That is the date the First Temple in Jerusalem fell. It is also the date the Second Temple fell. Now, the New Testament says our "body" is the temple.
The same reason we grew up with hearing "we all came out of Africa".
I tend to think blacks have been primed to get a "savior".
