California community stumped by mystery animal caught on videotape

Some type of cat

A big cat at that. I wonder if there's any lions missing from a nearby zoo or maybe it escaped from someone's private collection and were too afraid to contact authorities.

If that cat is as white as it looks, it maybe an albino. They do happen in nature and it looks like a mountain lion, big.

Would be interesting if it was an albino cougar.

The video footage is not in color. Since it's black and white footage we only know that it is a lighter color, not to say it isn't albino, but could be a normal tan color too. Hard to tell.

Its clearly a dog.

Most of you will not believe me but my friend and I saw the same thing in northern california. We thought it was a white puma. We were up in trinity county and stumbled into a strange looking den of sorts.

There were bones neatly organized in the corner and the whole den was draped by ancient looking moss. The weirdest part of the den was that the ground was so smooth - it was as if the ground had been precisely leveled and meticulously maintained.

Inside the den were 2 of these cat-dog looking creatures. One mama and one cub. The mama was asleep and the cub just calmly stared right at us. I am convinced to this day that whatever it was, it was at the top of the food chain.

We were in the heart of Bigfoot country.

We ran for our lives upstream in the river.

It looks like a white tiger, not fully grown.

Do dogs walk like that?

I forgot to add that minutes before we saw it, we discovered what seemed to be an old indian glyph etched into a rock formation which was atop of a natural spring pool.

Later on we thought that the image in the stone may have been a warning system to other Indians back in the day.

Its a dog...move along.

The tail is what makes me think it's not a dog. Dogs don't hold their tails that way, but cats do.

Just by looking at the tail and how it's held
you can clearly see it's a mountain lion.

My guess is it's an escapee from someone's private collection that they haven't realized is gone; are too afraid to speak up; or they have some other reason for staying quiet.

Since this is a conspiracy forum, I'll throw this out there...it may be some rich elite's pet and the let it go/it escaped since they bugged out to their million dollar bunker to wait out the doom that comes our way.

Well, to me, it looks like a mountain lion. Take this for what it's worth.....I lived in both southern and northern California most of my life before moving out East. The development, particularly in southern California, was explosive during the five years that I lived there. I lived in the Santa Clarita area, just down the street from Magic Mountain. In the evenings, we heard coyote, and in the canyons that we hiked, there were mountain lion tracks all over. While hiking in Placerita Canyon, I once ran into a mother mountain lion with two cubs. They were all over this area, and yet the development was constantly encroaching upon their habitat. God forbid, this animal if it wander in an urban area - which is basically all that is left of the place - because if someone decides to tease this animal or provoke it in any way, the rangers will go full out onslaught mode and shoot ten mountain lions under the guise of 'protecting the public' from a wild animal.

Some people can't point out where the USA, Canada or many other countries, for that matter, are on a map. It wouldn't surprise me in the least if they couldn't determine some of the most recognizable animals.

I bet they could tell you all about celebrity gossip, the latest sports stats and the specs of their latest iGadget though. Sad, very sad....

Whoa! I'm in No. Cal. mtns. but not Trinity County. I'm east and south of there by maybe 200 miles. But a couple years ago I had someone, a hunter, tell me that he had seen a white lion take down a deer while he was on a hunting trip here.

I couldn't tell you who any of the Celebrities are. Not one.

I am next door to Norwalk, the way that was walking that was no fucking dog, probably came from the San Gabriel river bed which borders Norwalk, In say it was a mountain lion due to the drought, it will probably be back.
