The immediate results are bugging me too...these tests take DAYS to come back. So if the "quick-test" comes back negative and they get released back into the population...MORE spread...YAY DOOM

And the reports of the "negative" result don't come with the caveat, "there have been many false negatives in the past."

Which means that even if they're telling the truth, it actually wouldn't even mean that much.

there could be hundreds of people walking around in the usa with ebola and not know it and spread it

its easy to spread ebola. they said its transmitted from body fluids. every time you use a public bathroom you touch others body fluids on sink handles, doors, toilets

there are trace levels of body fluids on everything. soft serve frozen yogurt machines usually have traces of feces on them that you cant see

every surface that anyone could have coughed on or touched has body fluids and then you touch your mouth or rub your eyes

We're not hearing a peep outta the NYC case though.
Nothing, Zip, NADA.. the patient in NYC is 100% Positive, so rather than tell people, and have them panic - they say nothing.

My daughter lives in Columbus too and works for Netjets. Thank God she has her preps, respirator and everything she'd need. This crap is too close to home!

Yep. It seems that the quick tests they are using are pretty much a waste of time anyway judging by the amount of false negatives being reported.

Do we know for sure they are false negatives ? not shilling or baiting its just there is so much uncertainty around this is had what to believe...

So how did the test for the guy from NYC turn out? Y'all post potential doom stories but never update it. I assume his test came back negative or else his story would be mega pinned?

And before everyone freaks out and says that the test could not come back that fast, consider that they didn't call all the news media the minute her blood was drawn.

False negatives are possible but you don't know when they drew her blood for the test. I could have been 2 days ago. They are not required to alert the media as they are drawing her blood.

11 Alive News here in Atlanta just did a report on Writebol and I could have sworn the reporter just said officals do not know how Nancy Writebol contracted ebola... she was not in direct contact with patients. She was more of a human resource type worker, i.e., secretary, etc

I heard earlier today from the reporter when she was being transported to Emory that she was part of decontamination process... her job was to spray the healthcare givers down after they left the contaminated area.

Not one word about the patient in NYC that was being tested.
If that patient were negative, everyone would know about it.
I think the fact that there are no comments/no updates/no announcement that the testing for Ebola was negative in NYC tells us it wasn't.

I heard Hannity say it was negative... but then again, I wouldn't trust him any farther than I could throw him

Was in a pretty big doctor's clinic today.. bunch of them all in together, walking back to one of the holding rooms, one of the doctor's was setting out in the main room on the internet reading up on Ebola.. we were back there good 45 minutes having tests ran, when we came out he was still reading about Ebola.. sure had his attention..

No shit, this reminds me of the game pandemic.

I read that she was in the decontamination tent- she helped people get their suits clean and get them out of them. The article stated her brother or son (?) was some sort of dr or medic and was impressed with who thorough their decontamination routine was. Search and you can find the article.

Hannity must know more than the CDC is willing to tell anyone else.. if the NYC patient were negative, they would have been in front of cameras asap saying that.
The Ohio patient was announced negative as soon as the PCR test results had stop smoking.
The NYC patient, not a word. Nothing today, no update, no mention, zero new articles - it's like the entire story has disappeared. We have the attention span of hamsters at best, so no news, no headlines means "everything must be ok or they would tell us".. we know that's bullshit.
The fact that there have been no updates on the NYC case, speaks volumes!
The NYC hospital said it is "unlikely" the patient has Ebola, not the tests were negative.
Hell - it is "extremely unlikely" that anyone in the United States would test positive for Ebola!
Ebola is not something the United States has to deal with.
So, I'd say the very first fucking patient in history to present - just fucking walk into an ER (not being shipped directly to the CDC) infected with Ebola in the US is generally"extremely unlikely".
