Why smart phones have non removable batteries
its an open mic and CCTV.

without the battery the NSA and all cannot tap into it. so the solution, glue the battery so user cannot remove it.

and also, its part of planned obsolescence.

5* It's a good point! You can't get that battery out of you iPhone. I saw a report on this guy who works for McClatchy newspapers. Before he meets with sources he leaves the iPhone at home.
It's just a ride.

i know capacitors can hold some charge but it will be limited. see how your phone switches off when battery hits 0%? its not really 0%, but NSA needs the rest of the juice

This is true. The telephones microphone can be activated remotely even if the phone is turned off. Without the battery it is useless.

If you want a private conversation... drive out to an isolated area with your friend. Leave your phone in the car, go out in the woods.. put a big bag over the two of you.. and pass notes.

I'd be bashing OP for stating already obviously known information, not saying he is wrong. Because he isn't wrong. But sorry OP this is well known stuff already. Apple has a track record as it is.
No batter means no power source at all.
He must mean they can use psyops to peer into your nude pics. Hahaha

Re: Why smart phones have non removable batteries
Fellow low IQ tards all you need is a Security Screwdrivers to access iPhone battery. Remove two (2) screws at bottom of phone.

KEEP THE SCREWS REMOVED FOR EZ ACCESS
TO REMOVE battery. Battery is held by 1 or 2 more screws depending on model, remove screws and phone still works disconnect battery when phone not in use paranoid freaks

Go get paranoid about something else now

Really? Where does the power come from, the cosmic vacuum, microwaves, a tiny squirrel running on a cage?

Actually AC is correct. If you have a removable battery, they can't track you or manipulate your phone.

Re: Why smart phones have non removable batteries
most smart phones i believe have a smaller emergency backup battery that kicks in if the main battery dies or is removed.

i say whats the point in going through all the trouble of removing the batteries when they sell CASES to put phones in that block all transmissions.

put it in the case and it drops off the map.
