Same as everyone else. Russia has been a serial invader of Ukraine and every one of its neighbours for centuries. Imperialism is part and parcel of Russian national ideology. Ukraine has invaded nobody. Ukraine simply wishes to be free of Russian influence since they have more cultural affinity with the west. Russia is at war with all western, non Russian ideology. Russia was a despotic monarchy Ukraine had a representative democracy Russia has an official State owned church that answers to the state Ukraines church was independent of govt. There is a world of difference. Ethnic wars are wars of extermination. Ethnic wars have no end since the one promoting them against others has no real limits to attacking other nations based on their ethnic differences either. Basically invaders that celebrate invasion have no reason to stop other than lack of success. |

Russias been invading and suppressing it's neighbours for centuries and has participated in numerous extermination attempts.
