Because he had a lot to live for and wasn't selfish enough to off himself.

I didn't always find this guy all that funny either, though the look in his eyes and the "read-between-the-lines-DAMNIT" aspect he conveyed through his chosen medium has always been admirable; noble, even....something which can't be said about 98% of the entire industry he's affiliated with....

Sorry, but obviously you have no knowledge of depression or other debilitating mental disease.

We all know that suicide is a long term solution to a temporary problem, but it seems as though RW was battling something for longer than you or I know.

Grew up with Robin Williams movies and TV shows, the man was a unique genius. News of his death actually choked me up a bit...

I lived on the same block as Robin in Sonama.He would run bye I would wave.I was a carpenter he was a hollywood star but yet he would wave with a smile.Ive seen Robin improv at the locale sonama square back in the early eighties.The guy would show up out of the blue in his home town and start the rant or I should say improv.Im hurt bye his death since he was a deep part of my life.Robin was very maniac why the hell do you think he was so funny.Fuck Im crazy as shit and I laugh at myself all the time.Rest in mutherfucking piece Robin see you when I die.

Someone posted a celeb between the age of 50 and 60 was going to die this week. Pretty close.

I believe its really hard to tell when the actor's do die in real life....

I believe the Character Robin Williams was killed off by who ever he really is. Its there Right, He ( What ever his real name was) brought the Character to life, he has a right to kill him off.......I don't Believe any Actors go by their real names ..They are Actors payed to act.... Robin Was a Character....... That's just how I see it!

I liked Robin because not only was he funny,he could be in any role. When I saw Baron Von Munchausen, I thought that freaky king looked and sounded like him. Of course it was him. He was in Popeye also.

I also liked "Awakenings" (1980) and of course "Miss Doubtfire".

Now John Ritter is on an old TV show. Another wonderful comedian gone.

Once said being an actor you were literally possessed. Interesting, see how these deaths are speeding up all the time, because they need that sacrifice and they're doing more cos the day is drawing near

Unfortunately, to end this way is to reject the offer to save the soul and start the heavenly life.
If somebody doesn't believe in the "promised" life after the body death, should not say RIP because "something" without soul does not "rest", just degrade...
I am still wondering why people give place to "depression" in their life... my guess is that their perception on life and happiness are out of the reality of a human possible existence.
.. and who dies by suicide will never, ever rest because "carries" no peace in a non-peaceful place.
