Most don't even live their lives by it, if they did we wouldn't have the government we have now. Just look at our history. No I'm not saying our founding fathers were Christians they were not, but they respected the people. Now they don't have to fear God anymore... Do men gather grapes of thorns, or figs of thistles? 17 Even so every good tree bringeth forth good fruit; but a corrupt tree bringeth forth evil fruit. 18 A good tree cannot bring forth evil fruit, neither can a corrupt tree bring forth good fruit. 19 Every tree that bringeth not forth good fruit is hewn down, and cast into the fire. 20 Wherefore by their fruits ye shall know them. |

This applies to "Gods" as well as to men. Of the many beings listed under the term "God" in the Bible, only by applying this verse to their deeds can you know who or what they really are. For example, the God of Moses said, "Thou shalt not kill, steal, etc." but the War God of Joshua said, "Murder, steal, and take that which you have not worked for." By contrast Jesus said, "Peace be unto you, my peace I leave with you." |

While the hybrid creation sounds innocent and harmless, I was appalled. Quoting: Considerella Why were you appalled? God gave humans hands to create things. If God did not want humans to do these things he would have created us without hands (for those who are going the whole "God" route). Hybrid creations are innocent and harmless, it is no different than taking a marijuana plant and cross breeding it. This guy just did it 40 tines with fruit, it's not like he is mass producing these trees or changing nature(for the worse), he just wanted to see what it looked like. Plus it produces food, not drugs.... no harm no foul right?? The one that is pictured I think is 5 years old, but yes at 20+ I would like to know too. I should take a drive down there it is only about 45 minutes from me, I will pick fruit and taste.... or maybe it's a trap... The flavors of each fruit are different and magnificent compared to our "imported for long shelfife produce". He has gotten 40 grafts to take - but only 25 that blossomed - still working on it. I definitely want one of these trees! "What are you helping with all this helping?" Buddhist saying |

Yeah I get his point, I understand he is attempting to find a way to preserve varieties of stone fruit... However.... They way he is splicing one branch at a time breaks the 'rule of three'. Healthy deciduous trees do best with three main branches, each splice point is a weak point, thus there are 40 weak joints in this tree that are prone to easier injury, thus easier infection by disease and pests. Yes the artists rendering is pretty... I was kinda hoping to see a time lapse video of the three through a growing season starting in early spring with budding and ending with the last leaf dropping. No doubt the color changes of the leaves will be as interesting as the spring blooms. But will the tree live up to that? |
